As today marks the official end of another academic year I just want to say a big well done to all my teaching friends and colleagues for getting through another year! Always a moment to look back and celebrate all the achievements of the academic year!
Here’s to great summer break to all my pupils, their families and my colleagues and I look forward to seeing you all again in September for another year in the circle of educational life! ⛱️👙🌞🌊🎉

As we enter the last week of term it’s still a busy one with some exams to record and exam repertoire for next year to choose! My normal timetable ends on Saturday 18th but there are still a few lesson slots available for those who request next Mon and a Tues afternoons. 🌞🪈🎼🎹

Hope you are all doing ok in the heat! Lessons are continuing as normal as I have a couple of large fans and the sun has gone from the teaching room by the afternoons so it feels manageable but please ensure you or your child brings a water bottle, although obviously I can provide cold drinks too. Fingers crossed this intense spell will be gone by next week! Many thanks.

I will be bidding farewell to some very long standing pupils at the end of this term as they head off to pastures new at university and as a result I have a few spaces to fill from September. I teach all ages and abilities, I am based in Lee on the Solent and I offer a free taster lesson to all new starters. Lessons take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Many thanks.

Good morning! The sun is shining and as the summer term is now well under way us teachers start turning our thoughts towards the autumn term! I have 5 students leaving this term going off to pastures new to uni and college and I have worked out that I have been teaching them for a combined total of 36 years as 3 of them have had lessons for 10+ years! So whilst I will miss them hugely it does mean I have a few spaces for new students. It has been a very musical weekend in Manchester watching two very difference concerts at the RNCM. The first was a superb evening of brass featuring Paramount Brass Quintet, the KNDS Fairey Band and the RNCM brass ensemble and the second was a concert by the RNCM gospel choir and orchestra. Interspersed with some cultural sight seeing in Stockport and a trip to Elizabeth Gaskell’s house it’s been a great weekend!
