⚽🐝 LITTLE KICKERS CAME TO BEES! 🐝⚽

We had a very exciting visitor at Bees today as Little Kickers joined us to run a fantastic football session for our Little Bees! ❤️⚽

The children had so much fun getting involved in lots of playful football activities – kicking, carrying, moving, listening, following instructions and, most importantly, having lots of fun together!

What we particularly love about the Little Kickers approach is their focus on “play, not push.” At this age, football isn’t simply about learning how to kick a ball. Through imaginative, play based sessions, children are developing so many important early skills, including confidence, independence, coordination, listening, turn taking, teamwork and communication. 🌟

There were lots of smiles, lots of footballs and lots of cones involved today! 😂⚽

And the exciting news is… Little Kickers will be coming back to Bees every week! 🥳🐝⚽ We’re so excited for our Little Bees to continue building their skills, confidence and independence through these fun, active sessions each week.

A huge thank you to Little Kickers for such a brilliant first session. We can’t wait to see you again next week! ❤️

🐝 A little adventure into town! 🛍️🚒

Our Little Bees enjoyed a walk into town this afternoon on a very important mission – to find some new treasures for our role-play and dressing-up area!

We visited our local charity shops, where the children had great fun browsing the rails and excitedly choosing some new props. We came away with a wonderful hat, a very sparkly skirt and some interesting bags ready to inspire lots of imaginative play back at nursery. ✨👒👜

Our adventure became even more exciting on the way into town when we walked past the fire station and spotted the fire engine being washed! 🚒

The firefighters very kindly stopped to chat to us and even let the children have a perch inside the fire engine – what a brilliant and unexpected experience! There were lots of excited faces and plenty to talk about on the walk back to nursery. ❤️

A huge thank you to the firefighters for taking the time to make our afternoon extra special, and to our local charity shops for helping us add some wonderful new treasures to our provision. 🐝💛

Learning really does happen everywhere – sometimes the best experiences begin with a simple walk into our local community! 🌿🏘️

🐝 For all of our Little Bees in their final year with us… 💛

Applications for Reception places for September 2027 are now open! 🎒🏫

If your child was born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023, you’ll need to apply for their primary school place by 15th January 2027.

It might feel far too soon to be thinking about big school 🥹, but we’ll be here to support our children and families throughout their final year with us and help make that transition to Reception as happy and positive as possible. 🐝💛

Don’t forget to get your applications in! ✏️🏫

Apply for your child’s reception class place

Do you have a child born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023? If so you will need to apply for a school place by 15 January 2027 (to commence September 2027).

The children have settled back into nursery beautifully and have had a busy week exploring, playing and learning together. We’ve enjoyed making our own play dough, potting the plants at the front of the building, listening to stories, dancing, voting for our snack choices, lots of water play and, most importantly, having plenty of time to explore and become familiar with our new environment. 🌱📚💦🎶

It has been lovely watching the children grow in confidence throughout the week, reconnect with their friends and key people, and begin to make the environment their own.

📸 A little update about our photos and social media

Going forward, our public social media will be faceless, meaning we will not share photographs showing the children’s faces. This is an additional step we are taking to protect the children’s identities and privacy online.

Parents and carers will, of course, still be able to enjoy more personal updates through Tapestry, so please keep an eye out for photographs and posts of your own child as their key person begins uploading them.💛

Leavers Celebrations 2026 🎓🦋

It has been lovely to see some of our Butterfly Group proudly modelling their Leavers 2026 T-shirts and hoodies today. They all looked fantastic!

We are now busy preparing for our final week of term – a week that will be filled with fun, laughter, special memories, and a sprinkle of happiness as we celebrate our wonderful leavers before they begin their next adventure.

Wishing all of our families a lovely and relaxing weekend! 💛

Not every classroom has four walls! 🌿

At Bees, we feel incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful outdoor environment where our children can play, explore, discover, and learn every day.

Surrounded by nature, every adventure becomes an opportunity to build confidence, spark curiosity, and create lasting memories. We love watching our little learners grow through outdoor experiences that inspire imagination and a love for the world around them. 💚🐝
