Lechlade Little Learners Home from home preschool in the beautiful town of Lechlade. The Lechlade Playgroup was founded in 1971, and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Our name was changed to Lechlade Little Learners in 1997. Lechlade Little Learners is a charity (Charity Reg no: 275208) and is funded partly by session fees and the Nursery Grant. Fundraising plays an important part of the running of our preschool, and parents are encouraged to participate in fundraising events. We are open Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm with various sessions available. Children are at the heart of everything we do. We allow the children to follow their own interests and those of their peers, to create a rich learning experience. We do not follow one set approach or pedagogy in our setting, but instead draw from some of the greats, such as Reggio and Montessori. One size does not necessarily fit all, and that is most certainly the case with children. At Little Learners we treat every child as an individual, celebrating their uniqueness.

We are proud to share that Lechlade Little Learners has earned the Gloucestershire Early Years Inclusion Champion award.

This award recognises early years providers that deliver high quality inclusive practice for all children, including those with special education needs and disabilities (SEND).

Over the last year our amazing team has engaged in multiple training courses including:
⭐️ Dingley’s promise SEN inclusion training
⭐️ Total communication
⭐️ Sensory integration
⭐️ Neil Farmers Getting it right for boys

Lechlade Little Learners were assessed on areas including parent partnerships, inclusive environment and the support we offer to children with additional needs. After a year of hard work along side our inclusion advisor we received the email today to inform us our award has been approved.

Massive well done to the staff team
