We paused for two minutes of silence to reflect and show our gratitude.

Our brilliant Thrive Practitioner, Lisa, decided the ground was simply too boring… so she jumped out of a plane at 12,000 ft instead! 🪂😄 She took on the skydive in memory of her mum and father-in-law, raising an incredible £1,400 for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚. 40 seconds of freefall, -16°C wind chill, and a whole lot of courage. We are so proud of you, Lisa! 🎉👏💚

💬 English, French, Polish, Spanish, Urdu… and “snack” (definitely a language in our school today 😅). We celebrated European Day of Languages with food, music and laughter — showing that languages don’t just connect us, they make life a LOT more fun. 🌍🎶🍴

Happy birthday to our brilliant cooking teacher, Emily! 🥳🍳 The only recipe today: one big slice of cake, a dash of laughter & a sprinkle of Wemms spirit. 🎂✨ Rumour has it the cake was marked as “Outstanding” by Ofsted standards — moist, flavoursome and served with a smile. 😉👩‍🍳

It was an epic Sports Day at – and the chaos was glorious! 🏃‍♂️💥 From high-energy relays to a tug of war that had more drama than a soap opera, every moment was full of laughter, effort, and the occasional creative interpretation of the rules. 😅 Rounders kept us guessing, and dodgeball? Total mayhem – in the best way possible! 🎯

Students and staff gave it everything – some ran like the wind, some shouted encouragement (and confusion), and a few just turned up for the snacks. 🍎😂

Massive thanks to everyone who got stuck in – you made it unforgettable. 🏆

On 1st July 2025, our brilliant Year 9 and 10 students set off on a Geography Rivers Fieldtrip with Juniper Hall FSC – on the hottest day of the year! 🥵☀️ Welcomed by Laura and fitted with wellies 👢, they waded into the river 💦 to cool off and take essential measurements. At both sites, they took charge of measuring width 📏, depth 🕳️, and velocity 🏃‍♂️💨 with fantastic focus and teamwork. Despite the heat, their behaviour and engagement were exemplary 😇👏. We wrapped up with a well-earned ice-pop 🍦 and a good sing-song 🎶🚌 on the ride back – a brilliant (and slightly soggy) day of outdoor learning! 🌍😄

On 🎓 27 June 2025, Wemms Graduation Day had it all — we laughed 😂, got a little teary 🥲, clapped too much 👏 and maybe ate a few too many cakes 🍰...

Today, they became racers and scientists—measuring speed and distance by competing in a thrilling race! 🏁📏🕒 From calculating who ran the fastest to exploring how distance and time connect, they experienced physics first-hand—and had a blast doing it! 😄💥 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗺𝗺𝘀, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀—it's movement, discovery, and joy! 🌟👟
