Today we celebrate St Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus’ most devoted followers and the first witness to His Resurrection. Often called the “Apostle to the Apostles,” she was entrusted with sharing the Good News of Christ’s victory over death.

As we celebrate the Feast of St Mary Magdalene, we are reminded of her powerful witness to God's mercy, forgiveness, and transformation. As the first person entrusted with announcing the Resurrection, she shows us that our past mistakes do not define our future.

For this reason, our internal exclusion and reflection space bears her name. The Magdalene Centre is not simply a place for consequences, but a place for reflection, growth, and restoration. Just as St Mary Magdalene's life was transformed through her encounter with Christ, we hope this space encourages students to learn from challenges, make positive choices, and return to their community with renewed purpose.

🏅 Sports Awards Evening 2026 🏅

Here are a few highlights from our Sports Awards Evening, held on Monday 13th July.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to attend and help us celebrate the outstanding sporting achievements of our students. It was a fantastic evening, recognising the hard work, dedication, determination, and success of so many talented young people.

We are delighted to congratulate our Examinations Officer, Mrs Hussey, on being named Examinations Officer of the Year!

This award is thoroughly deserved and recognises the dedication, care, and professionalism she brings to her role every day. Mrs Hussey works tirelessly to ensure that every student sitting examinations feels supported, comfortable, and has everything they need to perform at their best. Her meticulous organisation and attention to detail ensure that every examination runs smoothly and efficiently.

The contributions made to our St Raphael Art Project have come together to create the attached mosaic. This beautiful artwork is made up of more than 500 individual pieces created by children from across St Raphael the Archangel CMAT. Each contribution has provided students with the opportunity to learn more about St Raphael while celebrating the talents, imagination, and shared identity of our school community.
