Congratulations to Abi in Year 9 on an incredible achievement representing England in the DAKS Home International Mounted Games Cup at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

After attending a three-day training camp, Abi and her teammates competed against teams from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland in front of thousands of spectators across four days of competition. Their hard work and determination paid off as Team England were crowned champions, with the prestigious DAKS Cup presented by Prince Edward.

One of the highlights of an unforgettable week was meeting King Charles III and chatting with him about ponies!

We are immensely proud of Abi's success and wish her the very best in future competitions. What a fantastic achievement.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Julie Johnson as the new Head of Prep from 1 September, 2026.

Mrs Johnson joins Kingsley from Warwick Preparatory School, where she currently serves as Director of Studies. An experienced and highly regarded educational leader, she brings a wealth of expertise in academic leadership and primary education.

Throughout her career, Mrs Johnson has held a number of senior leadership positions, including Deputy Head at a leading independent school in Australia and Head of a primary school in Warwickshire. She is passionate about creating an environment where children can thrive academically while feeling supported, valued and inspired throughout their educational journey.

Mrs Johnson’s appointment reflects the Foundation’s commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience for every child. Her extensive leadership experience and dedication to high standards will help ensure continuity for pupils, staff and families, while further strengthening the close connections between Kingsley Prep and the wider Warwick Schools Foundation community.

Mrs Johnson commented: "I am delighted to be joining this very special Prep School community, and I look forward to working alongside pupils, staff and families. I am excited to build on the school’s many strengths and help shape an ambitious and joyful future for our pupils."

Congratulations to Daisy on an incredible achievement at CVI Sentower in Belgium, where she represented Great Britain and secured a bronze medal against a strong field of 18 international vaulters.

We are incredibly proud of all that Daisy continues to accomplish, both in and out of school. Her dedication, determination and talent are truly inspiring.

Well done Daisy. We can’t wait to see what you achieve next!

When we visited the Year 1 classroom this week, pupils were just beginning their mathematics lesson with Miss Fennell and putting their thinking caps on for 'Flashback Four'.

This new initiative in the Prep School begins each maths lesson with four carefully chosen questions designed to refresh and reinforce previous learning before introducing a new topic. By regularly recalling what they have already learned, pupils deepen their understanding, grow in confidence and strengthen their long-term retention of key mathematical concepts.

It was wonderful to see the children enthusiastically making connections between past and present learning. A simple but highly effective way to help learning stick!

We were delighted to welcome over 200 musical educators to Warwick Schools Foundation for the Music Teachers' Association Conference. Over 200 attendees gathered for the annual conference, which continues to inspire musical excellence among educators.

Attendees enjoyed key note speeches from Izzy Judd and Sir John Rutter, amongst over 40 other inspirational speakers. Sir John led an incredible opportunity for our Foundation Symphony Orchestra, King Henry VIII Consort, St Mary’s, staff and the attendees from the conference to take part in a 'Come and Sing/Play' session which ended with a spectacular musical showcase.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate music education, share ideas and experiences and it was an honour to play a key part in this wonderful event.
