Eco Club Enjoys Reward Trip to Brandon Marsh

Campion School's Eco Club enjoyed a well-deserved reward trip to Brandon Marsh this week, spending the day exploring one of Warwickshire's most beautiful nature reserves.

Students embraced the opportunity to get outdoors, taking part in birdwatching and den-building activities while learning more about the local wildlife and natural environment. The highlight of the day was spotting a magnificent heron, which delighted everyone in the group.

The trip was a fantastic way to celebrate the Eco Club's commitment and enthusiasm throughout the year. Spending time in nature gave students the chance to develop their teamwork, observation skills and appreciation for the environment, while having plenty of fun along the way.

A wonderful day was had by all, and we look forward to many more outdoor adventures with our Eco Club next year!

Congratulations to our fantastic cheerleading team - on Saturday, they competed against two non-school teams and achieved an excellent second place. On Sunday, although they were the only team in their division, they performed beautifully and represented the school with confidence, enthusiasm and professionalism.

The students should be extremely proud of their performances and the way they represented Campion School throughout the weekend, coming back with 2 big troupes and banners.

Beautiful homework by KS3 and wonderful tribute to the artist - David Hockney who recently died aged 88. Over his seven-decade career, Hockney was famous for his vibrant and innovative artworks, including landscapes of his native Yorkshire, sun-drenched paintings of Los Angeles swimming pools, and iPad portraits of friends and family.

World Cup England v Mexico – Flexible Start for Students

We apologise for the late notice, however, because of the scheduled World Cup game between England v Mexico taking place at 1am tomorrow morning, we are offering a flexible start to those pupils and families who wish to enjoy the game.

We continue to promote the importance of regular attendance and would encourage pupils to attend school as normal to make the most of their learning; however, for those that may need a little extra time in the morning, please ensure that your child is in school by 11am.

Staff will be in school as normal, and Periods 1 and 2 will still be taking place. Therefore, if you are able to arrive for the normal start time of 8.40am, then that’s great, but if you need a little extra time, you can take advantage of a flexible start.

Uniform Update – Final Two Weeks of Term

Due to the forecast hot weather, students will not be required to wear their blazers or ties during the final two weeks of term. All other school uniform expectations remain unchanged.

To celebrate England reaching the last 16 in the World Cup, Business Studies students have today been designing business-themed football shirts! Which one do you think we should get made?!

School Closure Update – Friday 26 June
The Red Weather Warning has been extended and continued extreme temperatures remain in the school buildings. The school will remain closed on Friday 26 June for the safety of pupils and staff.

Students should continue revising for upcoming assessments while taking care to stay cool and safe.

Year 13 Prom will go ahead as planned, with additional guidance provided on hydration and staying safe in the heat.

We look forward to welcoming pupils back to school on Monday 29 June when temperatures are expected to return to normal levels.
