In this afternoon's assembly we were celebrating resilience - for those children who keep trying when things are difficult and recognise that mistakes are an important part of learning. Big congratulations to Harlee-Jay, Danylo, Thomas, Rosie and a few others for being chosen for this Head-teacher's award!

Well done to Year 5 for an amazing report about your behaviour and attitude on the Compton Verney trip today! Thanks to Miss Cowley, Mrs Bradley and Mr Hemming for going with them.

At this afternoon's Head-teacher assembly, we celebrated those children who have impressed the staff with their attitude and behaviour at break and lunchtimes.

Well done to Robin (Reception), Ali (Year 1), Ashton (Year 2), Arnisha (Year 4), Abel A (Year 5), and Saranya (Year 6) - I think you can see from their faces that they enjoyed their cake!

Congratulations also to Year 2 who were again the class with the best attendance.

Massive congratulations to Saavni in Reception, Thalia in Year 1, Anas in Year 2, Lola in Year 4, Junior in Year 5 and Tvisha in Year 6 for being chosen by their teachers in our assembly this afternoon. The focus for this week was kindness, and it was lovely to hear about the different ways in which these superstars have been kind this week. Well done!

Good morning everyone - our water is running fine so we'll be open as usual. We will keep you updated if the situation changes.

We had some important visitors in school this morning who both agreed with me that Year 5 are our Class of the Day! Well done Year 5 - fantastic attitude to learning.

Shout out to Year 6 for being Class of the Day today - they've made a fabulous start to the new term and been incredibly respectful and welcoming to Mr Price.

Also, huge congratulations to the following pupils: Layke (Reception), Dainton (Y2), Viaan and Samarjit (Y3), Jayden (Y4), Jasmin (Y5) and Marley (Y6) - these children were chosen by their teachers for making the most positive start to the new term. Well done!

Amazing attitude to learning and respectful behaviour in Year 3 today. Class of the day!

Congratulations to Year 2, who won our first Headteacher's Award of the day! I have been so impressed with their behaviour and attitude to learning so far this week.

Also a big shout out to Year 4 who did some amazing art-work this afternoon.

Each day, I'll be giving a special certificate to the class who impress me the most with behaviour and attitude to learning. I wonder who it will be tomorrow?!

I'm looking forward to meeting our pupils and parents tomorrow, and all staff are looking forward to seeing you all again.

The forecast for the next couple of nights is very cold, and after the rain we've had today it's likely that there will be some ice around in the morning. Please take care on your way into school, and please make sure that children are warmly dressed.
