On 4 July, they took on a sponsored run around Sutton & Cheam, raising money to support our STEM programmes and helping spread the word about why STEM education matters.

What makes this extra special is that it's young people supporting opportunities for other young people.

What an incredible three days in Wales! ⚙️

A huge thank you to every young person who joined us for our Engineering Experience residential. It was fantastic to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm as learners got hands-on with engineering, tackled exciting challenges and discovered just how many opportunities STEM has to offer.

It was fantastic to see the young learners fully immerse themselves in every aspect of the course. From soldering and building their own FM radios and hearing them successfully tune in for the first time to designing and testing cranes by seeing how much weight they could hold, there was a real sense of excitement and achievement throughout.

They also got a taste of real-world problem-solving, tasked with building and programming robots designed to clean up rubble after a natural disaster, before bringing all their learning together by developing marketing pitches for their final products. Seeing their creativity and teamwork skills shine through at every stage made for an incredibly rewarding experience.

This course wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of Moondance Foundation. Their commitment to creating opportunities for young people is helping inspire the next generation of engineers, innovators and problem-solvers, and we're so grateful for their partnership.

At The Smallpeice Trust, we're passionate about helping young people discover what they're capable of through hands-on STEM experiences. Every ticket purchased helps support the amazing charities involved, including us, enabling us to inspire even more young people to explore engineering, technology and the exciting opportunities they can lead to.

Whether you're coming for the music, cars, family fun or festival atmosphere, you'll also be helping charities make a real difference.
