In my yoga class we usually do a balancing exercise and the tree pose is probably the most well-known. Basically, my own practice goes something like this: I stand on one leg, focus on a spot on the floor or wall and after a few seconds....

Pausing for Reflection 2020: Reflecting Back to Move Forwards 30/11/2020

Where did that year go? We thought to round off a challenging 12 months that we, Anne Mosley and myself, would organise a group workshop for reflection, conversation and laughter. Through individual activities and group coaching you will be encouraged to make sense of what has happened in your life and have an opportunity to explore how you navigated and adapted to 2020.
The aim is that you will leave with a clearer idea of the strengths and skills you have used to navigate the year and what you need to ride the waves of 2021.

This is an online event so it doesn't matter where you are.
Tickets are available at:

What questions we are asking ourselves? There is an art to asking a powerful question. A question can connect people to their experiences, needs and desires, it can dig beneath the surface and provoke people to reflect deeply. The first answer is sometimes just instinctive and sometimes a process requires asking the same question several times to get to the real answer. We love working with questions and spend a lot of time finding, exploring and expanding powerful questions to deepen conversations and learning. What question are you asking today? 🌻

In the Absence of the Village, Mothers Struggle Most 22/08/2020

At Spaces of Change and in our current Conversation4Change, the question of how we build and sustain community and solidarity has come up a few times. This thought-provoking article suggests through our society and ways of living we have lost our communities and social systems that nurture us and the impact it can have on parents.

We wonder how a lack of community impacts on you? Maybe you have it - where do you find that or how do you imagine we can create it? How can we re-build these communities in our lives that support our wellbeing and growth?

At SOC, we believe that collaboration and community are core to our wellbeing, growth and future. We seek to find ways to create spaces that cultivate a sense of safety, inclusivity, purpose, acceptance, and importance. We explore ideas together and seek new ways of doing.

We'd love you to join the discussion, so please share your thoughts and ideas.

In the Absence of the Village, Mothers Struggle Most Dear Mothers, I’m writing you today because I can no longer contain the ache in my gut and fire in my heart over an injustice that you and I are bearing the brunt of. Though this injustice is...

Started the beginning of lockdown, Spaces of Change has been hosting a weekly with a group of people from different countries. It is a space to connect, collaborate and create. Convened around the question: what are we learning from the present situation about how we live and work? It has become a space to create connection with each other, share our personal experiences and explore issues and challenges raised in the pandemic period. Over the coming weeks we will share some of the ideas shared in the different conversation sessions and look forward to engaging with others around issues that matter to you and draw on your experiences.
Thank you for the graphic .
