Mark O'Neill is an author and journalist and currently resides in Hong Kong. Currently, he is a contributor writer for the Macao magazine.
Mark O'Neill was born in Britain and educated at Marlborough College and New College, Oxford University, where he graduated in English Language and Literature. He worked in Washington DC, Manchester, England and Belfast, before moving to Hong Kong in 1978. He has lived in Asia since then, working in Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, China and Japan, for the Reuters news agency and the South China Morning

Spent a few delightful hours yesterday with three young energetic reporter's from the popular online daily HK01.com. We spoke in a cafe and in a park about the extraordinary life of genius painter Zhang Daqian. Later, we visited 陸羽茶室Teahouse in Central, where Master Zhang used to go.

Berlin is known for its hundreds of bookshops. We visited four non- German ones during our brief visit -- Zadig ( French), Encounters (Chinese), Ocelot(English) and Saint George ( 2nd hand English -language books). Each has its own character and is located in areas with nice cafes.

Back to HK after a hectic 3 week holiday in UK and Germany. A swim and a big hearty UK meal before departure. Greeted in HK by Billie ! Already looking forward to the next holiday.😀
