🌟 Welcome Evening for Our New Reception Families 🌟

It was wonderful to meet our new Reception families and children this evening. We are so grateful that you could join us and begin getting to know our school community.

It was lovely to see the excitement, smiles and enthusiasm of the children as they prepare to start this important new chapter.

We look forward to working in partnership with you and accompanying your children on their learning journey, helping them to grow in faith, confidence and knowledge.

We can’t wait to welcome you all in September and begin this exciting journey together πŸ’™πŸ“šβœοΈ

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒŠ Final Swimming Lesson for Year 2 πŸŒŠπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

Today marked the final swimming lesson for Year 2. As part of water safety week, the children took part in activities designed to help them understand how to stay safe in and around water.

They practised moving and keeping themselves afloat while wearing clothing, helping them experience how different it feels compared to swimming in normal swimwear.

This valuable lesson gave them the opportunity to build confidence and learn important skills that could help keep them safe in real-life situations.

We are so proud of all the progress the children have made this year and the enthusiasm they have shown in every lesson. Well done, Year 2! πŸ‘πŸ’™

Despite the rainy weather, our Year 5 pupils embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, determination, and big smiles throughout the day. They took part in a range of exciting activities that encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, showing fantastic resilience and a positive attitude from start to finish.

We were especially proud of their excellent behaviour, maturity, and support for one another. They were wonderful ambassadors for our school and represented us brilliantly. Well done, Year 5! πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Working Together 🀝

Today, pupils from St Joseph’s and St Mary Immaculate have come together for the first of three Peer Mediator training sessions. It will be a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet new friends, develop their communication and leadership skills, and learn how they can help others resolve conflicts peacefully.

Rooted in our shared Catholic values of respect, compassion and reconciliation, the pupils are showing great enthusiasm as they begin their journey towards becoming Peer Mediators within our school communities.

Year 3 had a super day at the β€˜Day of the African Child’ celebration along with other local schools!

We are so proud of our links with schools in Bo, Sierra Leone πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡±

Year 5 children planned and lead a Celebration of the Word for their class, inspired by their knowledge of our Bo link school and the Day of the African Child celebration.
