Did you know that a group of meerkats is called a mob?
Our students have been busy creating clay meerkats this week as part of our Safari Adventures theme.

We have really enjoyed seeing the different characters emerge as the children created their sculptures.

Next week we’ll be creating elephant paintings with watercolour and ink.

Last week our artists were using charcoal to create African Painted Dog drawings, exploring tone, texture and contrast while developing their observational drawing skills.

This week we have started work on our clay meerkats, and we are looking forward to sharing these with you soon.

Safari Adventures are coming to Leamington Spa this term!
Our new term at Cygnet’s Art School is just around the corner, and we’re getting everything ready for a brilliant term exploring the wilderness.

If your child is between 5 and 12 and loves getting creative, these classes are a great way for them to try proper artistic techniques. We don’t just stick to the basics—over the term, they’ll get to try their hand at clay work, printing, watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. It’s brilliant fun, and they always come home so proud of what they’ve made.

The classes are limited to 16 children.

Because of the small group sizes, we only have a handful of spaces left for September:

📍 Cubbington Village Hall
Wednesdays at 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
4 spaces left

📍 Stoneleigh Arts Space
Saturdays at 10:30 - 11.30 AM
6 spaces left

If you want to grab one of the remaining spots before school starts back, the booking link is in our bio.

Or, if you have any questions at all about how the classes run, just drop me a DM and I’ll get right back to you

Coming this September… Safari Adventures

Our young artists will be travelling across the African savannah through a series of exciting drawing, painting, printmaking and clay projects.

One of this term’s projects is Elephants at Sunset, where students will combine watercolour and ink techniques to create dramatic landscapes inspired by the African savannah.

At Cygnets, children learn real artistic skills while developing creativity, confidence and a love of art.
