From Page to Stage Designers

I am Katie Ranson, the creator of From Page to Stage Designers. Over the past year I have been creating FPTSD to share my passion for production arts with young people. I work on FPTSD part-time alongside juggling my full time job. It's been a rewarding love of mine for the past year, watching each participant engage with my work.

Unfortunately August’s Mask Design workshop will be my last FPTSD workshop, as I am continuing my journey into production arts by attending drama school in London. I hope to continue FPTSD throughout my studies, by creating educational content and delivering ad hoc workshops, however during this time my main focus will be on my academic responsibilities.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported and engaged with my work. I have loved creating and hosting the workshops and hope to be back at it again very soon.

Did you know the replica of the Paris Opera House chandelier is made up of 6,000 beads consisting of 35 beads to each string? It is 3 metres wide and weighs one ton. The touring version falls at 2.5 metres per second. The original version was built by 5 people in 4 weeks!
