Motorcycle and CBT licensing is expected to have a major update... 👇

🔘 Full licence progression could be compounded into a structured training course, rather than current A1 & A2 riders completing a second test

🔘 Theory test and hazard perception courses potentially integrated into CBT training

🔘 Minimum waiting periods between CBT courses

Our own Mark Jaffe states: “In summary, Phoenix welcomes the main aims of the strategy, but calls for careful consideration of how the elements to do with CBT theory tests and renewals are to be implemented. We will be working closely with the DVSA and DfT as the review progresses, to ensure that outcomes are appropriate for rider training, and we will also work in conjunction with the Driving Instructors Association (DIA), Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA) and National Motorcyclists Council (NMC) to support their work in these areas.”

UPDATE - Sunday 11th Jan. Many thanks for so many people putting their points across. Please keep them coming. Phoenix is one of the key organisations representing the motorcycle training industry on Thursday 15th January at the Department of Transport strategy group and I will take all your comments to that session to ensure everyone’s voices are heard.
