📢 Could your disciplinary and grievance procedures do with a refresh?

ACAS has proposed updates to its Code of Practice, with a greater focus on resolving workplace concerns early, fairly and transparently. The consultation has now closed, and ACAS is reviewing the responses.

For employers, it’s a useful reminder to take a look at how workplace concerns are currently handled.

✅ Are your policies clear and easy to follow?
✅ Do your managers feel confident handling concerns?
✅ Are you keeping appropriate records?
✅ Could some issues be addressed informally before becoming formal?

The current ACAS Code can be taken into account by Employment Tribunals, with awards potentially adjusted by up to 25% for unreasonable failure to follow it.

A week in the life of the Ringlink Training Centre...
