Big changes coming to our playground from September! 👀 💙💛

Last week, we were honoured to receive confirmation that we have been awarded the School Games Gold Mark Award.

The School Games Mark is a nationally recognised award that celebrates a school’s commitment to the development of physical education, school sport and physical activity. Achieving the Gold Award reflects the breadth and quality of opportunities we provide for our pupils, promoting participation, inclusion, competition and healthy, active lifestyles for all.

Throughout the year, we have delivered a vast and varied PE curriculum, offering pupils opportunities to experience sports including football, swimming, golf, pickleball, cricket, rugby and curling, to name a few. We are equally proud of our inclusive provision, supporting our SEND pupils through sensory circuits and Wild Tribe sessions, ensuring every child can enjoy the benefits of being active.

We have also embedded physical activity across the curriculum, helping pupils work towards the recommended 60 active minutes each day. The installation of our cross-curricular orienteering course has provided exciting opportunities to make learning active across a range of subjects.

Alongside this, our pupils have embraced competitive sport by hosting fixtures against other schools, participating in inter-school competitions and entering teams into a variety of local leagues. Their enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship have been outstanding.

This award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our pupils, staff, families and wider school community. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing to inspire all of our children to lead active, healthy lives. 💙💛

Today, we say a very fond farewell to our wonderful Year 6 leavers. It feels like just yesterday they were walking through the gates for the first time, oversized backpacks and all!
Watching them grow into the kind, funny, resilient, and bright young people they are today has been an absolute privilege. They leave behind so many wonderful memories, and we could not be prouder of everything they’ve achieved.
To our Year 6s: As you step up to high school, remember to always be yourself, work hard, and never forget how capable you are. The world is waiting for you! 🌍❤️

Today, our amazing Year 2 historians completed their History unit all about British monarchs! 👑📚

Throughout the topic, the children have explored the lives of different kings and queens, discovered how the monarchy has changed over time, and developed their historical enquiry skills.

To celebrate the end of the unit, the children became artists as well as historians, creating their own fantastic monarch portraits inspired by what they have learned.
