This week the children have enjoyed a Teddy bears picnic themed week, trying new foods and linking a variety of bear stories to our role play. There have been some fantastic constructions, a ball rescue, a trip over to big school to watch their sports day and we finished in the sunshine with some gardening. What a lovely week, we are still learning about Spring and the changes that happen. We made some fantastic ‘potato masher’ bumble bees, took a trip to the woods and made a big den while listening to Mr Woodpecker, we have worked on our hand and eye co ordination when making patterns and shapes and today we took a trip to our local coffee shop for a special treat (don’t worry no coffee included ☺️)

Tomorrow myself (Leanne) my husband Chris and our 7 year old Mason will be taking part in the HeliHike, and walking from Widemouth to Bude in aid of Cornwall air ambulance. If anyone has a few spare pennies to donate to this well deserved charity we would be hugely grateful! Thank you 😊

What a lovely first week, let’s hope this sunshine stays! The children had a lovely time looking for different types of birds this morning and listening to them sing, we have explored weight using the scales to look at ‘heavier’ and ‘lighter’ there were some fantastic creations with the junk modelling, and we found the Gruffalo and his friends over at the woods. Well done everyone for returning so well ❤️

Spring has finally arrived! So this week we have started looking at life cycles of a variety of animals and have looked at ways to re-vamp our outside area. We took a trip to the woods to make our own birds nests and over at big school we found super worm and his friends 😊 We love this time of year!
