A couple of pictures of our outdoor environment, all ready and waiting for our nursery children to play with. 🐞🐌🐛 We can’t wait to watch them investigate their small world area and explore a range of pouring, tipping and squeezing tools in their water play 💦

Over the summer holidays, we have been busy getting our nursery room ready for our children to come back to next week. We’ve given our room a little re-vamp, creating inviting new areas designed to spark their imagination, curiosity and love of play.

We’ve loved preparing the space with our children in mind and can’t wait for them to see all the changes! We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back and supporting our children as they settle back into nursery, reconnect with their friends and begin exploring all the exciting opportunities our new environment has to offer. 💛

Inspired by our book Cave Baby, the children took great interest in learning about cave painting back in the stone ages, so Mrs Singleton set up an area where children could mix, crush and make their own cave painting using natural materials such as herbs, spices and fruit.

🌞🌞Warm Weather Alert🌞🌞

With the current warmer weather, we will be doing our utmost to ensure that all children remain safe, cool and well hydrated throughout the school day.

The children can wear their PE kits to school every day if they wish instead of their normal school uniform. Hopefully this will help to keep them cooler.

We would really appreciate your support with the following:

🌞 Please ensure your child has sun cream applied before coming to school
🌞 Send in a named bottle of sun cream so children can reapply during the day if needed
🌞 Every child to bring in their water bottle (named)
🌞 Suitable footwear such as sandals or Crocs is recommended (please note flip flops are not permitted for safety reasons)
🌞 We suggest that jumpers and sweatshirts are left at home during this period
🌞 A sun hat (named) is brought in daily.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Our Early Years Ladybirds children began their new “space theme” this week. Our magical wand delivered our WOW moment with an exciting letter that told us we were going to go on a rocket up to space. Even Mrs Buckthought joined us 🪐 This week we have been busy creating rockets and space stations. ☄️
