Today, the St. Mary’s Primary School family comes together to say a massive thank you to an absolute legend, Mrs. Beckford!
After 33 years of outstanding service, kindness, and unwavering devotion to our children's learning, she is stepping into a well-earned retirement.
Mrs. Beckford has been the ultimate rock for her colleagues, always offering support to both our staff and our school families.
You will be sorely missed by every single one of us. We are wishing you the absolute best in your retirement, Mrs. Beckford!

Our whole school came together to say goodbye to our wonderful in style yesterday! It has been a pleasure to watch these children flourish into kind, capable, confident young people, and we wish them all the very best at Largs Academy. We are so proud of you all. 💚
Thank you to Ruairidh, Niall and Michael for playing the bagpipes to mark the occasion so beautifully.

Huge congratulations to our talented P6/5 pupils! 🌟

Today’s fun activity for P7/6 was a fantastic water fight! 🤩 The whole school came to watch the fun, and we had a blast! Thank you to Mrs Gallagher and Mrs Corkindale for helping to fill all of the balloons and to Mrs Teaz for capturing photos of the madness. 💚 Thank you to all for the kind donations of water balloons too. There’s just one more day left for our now! There will be a piper as they leave the building for the final time tomorrow afternoon, and parents/carers are welcome to come and celebrate the end of an era for this lovely group of children.💚

P7/6 have continued their chosen fun activities to send our off in style. 🎓💚
Thursday was ‘Scotland Day’ where they could wear their Scotland tops or something blue and we did baking and a class party! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎉🥳
Friday was pyjamas, pizza and movie day with some delicious pizzas made by our fantastic school catering staff! 🍿🎥🍕
Thank you to everyone who donated some snacks or water balloons. Reminder that Monday will be our P7/6 water fight! Children must wear dark-coloured clothing and bring a change of clothes and a towel if they wish to participate. They may bring their own water guns if they wish. 😊

Mrs Teaz class gave an outstanding performance when they delivered their play and songs about The Vikings! They were delighted to welcome their adults as well as the rest of the school to watch their performance. Article 29 Article 30

Tomorrow evening at 7.00 pm, you are warmly invited to join Bishop Frank in St Margaret's Cathedral, Ayr, as he celebrates 25 years since his ordination to the Sacred Priesthood. Following the Mass, there will be refreshments served in the Cathedral Hall.

Heartfelt thanks to Father Peter and the parish community of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea for the beautiful leaving gift presented to our Primary 7 graduates. This thoughtful book, ‘Easy to Read Bible Summary for Teens and Adults’, will support their continued faith journey as they transition to secondary school and grow into their next chapter of life. 💙🙏🏻
