Thank you to the thousands of parents and pupils who took time to respond to the survey regarding potential changes to the school calendar.

Following a meeting of Cabinet this week, it was agreed to move forward with changes from the 2027/28 academic year which will see all schools in North Ayrshire enjoy a two-week October break.

73% of respondents said that it would be a good idea to align school holiday calendars by moving to a two-week holiday period in October for all schools.

This evening our key agenda item is to discuss NAC’s proposed changes to school holiday calendar. All welcome!

We have brought forward our scheduled Parent Council meeting to meet a deadline for feedback from North Ayrshire Council's Education department. If, after the recent survey, you still have something to say, now is your opportunity to do so! After our normal business, our key agenda item is the plans for amending the holidays. We do hope you can join us.
