Entries are now open for our annual Open Texas Scramble, the John Lambert Rosebowl on Sunday 27th September. Cost is £20 per head for members £25 per head for non members, teams of 4. 🏌️‍♀️2026 Ladies Open Tri Am 🏌️‍♀️

🏆 Results

We had an excellent turnout of 132 Ladies for our annual Ladies Open Tri Am. The weather stayed kind and there were some great scores.

The format was better ball Stableford with 1 score to count on the odd holes and 2 scores to count on the even holes. This years winners are the home trio of Irene Hodge, Margaret McNiven and Moyra Mackie who prevailed courtesy of the better inward half with 60 points.

Congratulations to all prizewinners - prize vouchers will be posted to home clubs.

£860 was raised for the Ayrshire Hospice - a huge thank you to everyone who supported the day and for all the kind comments on our course condition.

🏌️‍♀️2026 Ladies Open Tri Am 🏌️‍♀️

We are delighted to welcome 132 women from clubs all over the country today for our annual Tri Am.

The course is in fabulous condition and the weather is set fair. We wish all competitors the best of luck and hope everyone enjoys their day with us.

2026 VIKING KRUS RESULT

We had some calm and sunny conditions for the players for our annual 36 hole scratch open and the good scoring reflected that.

This years champion is Matthew Allen from Western Gailes who won with rounds of 67 and 68 for a five under par total of 135. His morning round included a ‘slam dunk’ eagle 2 at the 11th hole!

Alan McLean kept up his excellent form this season with a runner-up finish posting rounds of 72 and 67 which, coincidentally, were the exact same scores he had last year.

Thank you to all the competitors who supported our event and congratulations to the prize winners.

2026 VIKING KRUS SCRATCH OPEN

We are delighted to welcome golfers from all over the country to participate in our annual Viking Krus 36-Hole Scratch Open.

This competition has been running since 1964 and has many illustrious names as winners. The current holder is John Shanks.

The weather is set fair and the course is in fabulous condition.

Fun Fact: The Vikings used a ‘Krus’ to drink from and the word simply means mug or jug!

The Prostate Cancer Charity golf team from Largs golf club would like to publicly thank all who supported the fundraising golf day held on 17 th July at Largs Golf club for their magnificent support. We are extremely grateful to all businesses & individuals who gave so generously with Sponsorships, Items for Auction, raffle prizes & through our just giving page.
