We are so proud to see the amazing success of Luca's in Millport!

Luke was one of our Nat 5 pupils a few years ago and whilst we would never try to take any credit for his incredible achievements, there are some pupils who you just know have the talent to go on to do amazing things. It’s lovely to think that the Largs Academy HFT department played a small part at the very beginning of Luke’s journey.

Huge congratulations to Luke and the whole team at Luca’s - what an achievement! We can’t wait to see what comes next.

Our S2 pupils have been working incredibly hard to get their textiles projects finished before the holidays. Many have even been coming in before school and during lunchtime to put the finishing touches to their work. We've loved seeing their creativity grow, their enthusiasm for learning new skills and the way they've supported and encouraged each other along the way.

Today we were delighted to play a part in the school's Brazilian Cultural Workshops! 🇧🇷
Our S6 pupils were joined by the lovely Andrea, who led fantastic hands-on sessions making traditional Brazilian favourites – Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) and Brigadeiro de Colher. 🍞🧀🍫
A huge thank you to Andrea for sharing her expertise, culture and enthusiasm with our learners. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore global food traditions through practical cooking.

S4 Practical Cookery were challenged this week as they were making profiteroles. These two girls did an amazing job!!

S2 are finishing off the term with a textiles project. They are enjoying learning new skills such as making templates, threading needles, hand stitching and applique. Next week, they will be learning to use the sewing machine 😁 🪡 🧵
