Academic excellence and exciting futures. 🌟

Mika, Gabriel and Sasha have all enjoyed exceptional GCSE success at Lancing, achieving an impressive collection of top grades.

Mika secured seven Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and a Grade 7, while Gabriel achieved four Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and a Grade 7. Sasha also excelled, achieving five Grade 9s alongside three further GCSEs at Grades 8 to 6. 📚👏

All three now continue their Lancing journeys into the Sixth Form, with Mika studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, Gabriel specialising in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and Sasha taking Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Design & Technology and Physics.

With Sasha also aspiring to join Lancing’s architecture programme, which has an excellent track record of preparing pupils for leading architectural courses in the UK and overseas, there are some exciting futures ahead. 🎓✨

Engineering futures ahead ⚙️🎓

A huge congratulations to Ethan B and Geoffrey L, who are both celebrating exceptional A Level results and exciting futures in engineering.

Ethan, who joined Lancing from Lancing Prep Hove and has been Head of his boarding House, an outstanding sportsman and dedicated peer supporter, leaves with an incredible three A*s and an A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. After a gap year, he is set to be a strong contender for some of the world’s leading engineering courses, having benefited from Lancing’s innovative engineering extension programme.

Geoffrey has achieved an exceptional set of results, with A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Chinese, alongside an A in Biology. He now heads to Imperial College London to study Chemical Engineering at one of the world’s leading universities for the subject.

Celebrating brilliant futures in the humanities 📚✨

A huge congratulations to Maria, Carla, Bella, Emma and Izzy, whose outstanding A Level results have opened the door to some of the world’s leading universities and courses.

Maria, a gifted creative writer and choral scholar, achieved A*s in English Literature and German alongside an A in Latin. She goes on to Oxford University to read English and Classics, where she will also take up a choral scholarship.

Carla, who joined Lancing in Sixth Form from Bavaria and studied in her second language, achieved an incredible two A*s, an A and a B. She now heads to the University of Edinburgh to study Philosophy.

Bella has achieved an impressive two A*s and an A, capping five outstanding years at Lancing. She now heads to Durham University to study English Literature.

Emma, a leading light in debating and current affairs, achieved A*s in Politics and History alongside an A in Religious Studies. She now heads to UCL to study History and Politics of the Americas.

Izzy, an outstanding student, debater and actress, achieved A*s in English Literature and History alongside an A in Biology. She goes on to LSE to study International Relations and History, one of the world’s leading courses for the subject.

Some more of our outstanding GCSE achievers. 🎓✨

The Class of 2026 has given us plenty to celebrate, and these five pupils are just a snapshot of the talent, ambition and individuality behind this year’s exceptional results.

✨ Ben A: seven Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and two Grade 7s, alongside a national-level tennis career.

✨ Bibi W: three Grade 9s, five Grade 8s and a Grade 7, balancing outstanding academics with county-level cricket and athletics.

✨ Imogen W: four Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and a Grade 7.

✨ Isobel C: a clean sweep of Grades 8 and 9, including four Grade 9s.

✨ Francis & Thomas R: nine Grade 9s, six Grade 8s and three Grade 6s between them, with both going on to study Mathematics and Chemistry alongside a range of additional subjects.

Meet five of our outstanding GCSE achievers. 🎓✨

The Class of 2026 has achieved an exceptional set of GCSE results, and behind the grades are pupils who have excelled across academics, sport, music and the arts.

👏 Seth V: an impressive eight Grade 9s and a Grade 8, placing him among the very highest-achieving students nationally. He was also part of our U16s Football team that got to the final of the ESFA Cup at Stoke City.

👏 Florence D: an incredible eight Grade 9s and a Grade 7, an achievement likely to place her among the top 1000 students nationally.

👏 Freddie W: a clean sweep of Grade A and higher equivalents, alongside an outstanding contribution to Lancing’s music community.

👏 Maddy L: four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, a Grade 7 and a Grade 6, with architecture now in her sights.

👏 Mollie T: six Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and two Grade 7s, with an exciting range of subjects ahead in the Sixth Form.

Five outstanding achievements, five individual journeys and plenty more to come.

A results day to be proud of. 🎓

We are delighted to celebrate an outstanding set of GCSE results from the Class of 2026.

The average grade achieved by Lancing pupils remains an impressive Grade 7, with nearly one in five grades awarded at Grade 9, the highest possible grade. Overall, 82% of grades were in the A* to B range when compared with the previous grading system, placing these among Lancing’s strongest GCSE results of the past 15 years.

Four pupils achieved seven or more Grade 9s, an exceptional achievement that places them among the very highest-achieving students nationally. A further 18 pupils achieved a clean sweep of Grades 7 to 9.

These results are a testament to the hard work, determination and intellectual curiosity of our pupils, supported by the dedication of their teachers and the wider Lancing community.

🗨️ Head Master Dr Scott Crawford commented, "the results reflect not only academic success, but the curiosity, confidence and breadth that characterise a Lancing education."

Two wonderful futures in the making. 🩺

A huge congratulations to Francesco “Franci” B and Iona McD who are both heading on to study Medicine after outstanding A Level results.

Franci, an Academic Scholar and notable thespian, achieved three As and now heads to King’s College London to study at one of the world’s leading medical schools.

Iona also achieved a clean sweep of As and will take up her place at Queen’s University Belfast to begin her five-year medical degree. A passionate member of Lancing’s MedSoc, she continues a long line of brilliant women in science at Lancing.

Two brilliant creative futures. 🎭🏛️

We very proud of Piper and Hirono, whose time at Lancing has led them towards exciting futures in the creative world.

Hirono heads to UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture, the world’s top-ranked architecture school, after an outstanding set of three A* grades.

Meanwhile, Piper takes her next step into professional actor training at the highly competitive Emil Dale Academy, following her passion for performance.

Two hugely talented individuals, two exciting destinations, and plenty more to come. We can’t wait to see what you both do next. 💙✨

The Class of 2026 is heading to some extraordinary destinations. 🎓

This year’s leavers have secured one of Lancing’s strongest and most diverse sets of university destinations in recent years, with approximately 72% progressing to Russell Group universities and almost a quarter securing places at some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions.

From Classics and English at Oxford, International Relations at LSE, Architecture at UCL, to Medicine at King's, the breadth of achievement is remarkable.

And it doesn’t stop there. Our pupils are heading into an incredible range of disciplines, from Veterinary Medicine, Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence and Economics to Fine Art, Music, Film, Fashion, Motorsport Technology and Professional Music Production.

Beyond the UK, the Class of 2026 has also secured places at leading institutions across the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australasia, including Juilliard, Parsons, the University of Toronto, UBC and McGill.

These destinations represent far more than academic success. They reflect the ambition, curiosity, creativity and individuality of the Class of 2026.
