๐๐ WE DID IT! ๐๐
PLATINUM SCHOOL GAMES MARK 2026!
Miss G is proud to share that St Lukeโs has achieved the School Games Platinum Award, the highest national recognition for PE and Sport! ๐
Here's a few reasons why we've been awarded this:
โฝ A range of sporting opportunities from football, cricket and athletics to ice skating, bowls, wheelchair basketball and ballet!
๐ An inclusive approach to sport; ensuring every child can participate, achieve and enjoy being active regardless of ability or need.
๐งโฝ Increased opportunities for girls in sport; including our girls' football club and hosting a girls' football tournament for local schools.
๐
Celebrating all types of success; recognising effort, teamwork, resilience and personal improvement as well as sporting achievement.
๐ง๐ฆ Pupil leadership opportunities; with our Year 5 Playground Monitors and Year 6 Play Leaders helping younger pupils stay active and engaged every day.
๐ฏ 100% of Year 6 pupils leaving St Luke's having experienced either leadership, a competition or inclusive sporting opportunities.
๐ช Developing physical literacy within PE lessons; building confidence, motivation, competence and a lifelong love of being active.
๐ Regular participation in festivals, competitions and School Games events across Lancaster, giving children positive experiences of representing their school.
๐ Listening to pupil voice; shaping our PE and sporting provision around the interests and needs of our children, including Lunchtime monitors, which have been a huge success!
โค๏ธ Creating a culture where every child belongs and ensuring sport is enjoyable, accessible and meaningful for all.
A huge thank you to our amazing pupils, staff, families and community partners who make these opportunities possible.
