We're going on a bug hunt🕷🐞
There was a big spider in nursery, the children loved looking at it and counting the 8 legs. From this we went on a walk around the neighbourhood to see what other bugs we can find. The children used their magnifying glasses and found lots of spotty ladybirds, woodlouse and spiders. We then got creative and painted spiders, and used wiggly spaghetti and natural materials to make some of our own.

After just over 2 gruelling weeks when we should of had 4 week we have transformed the pre-school at Moorside into a lovely safe environment where the children can learn through play.
We are so proud in what we have acheived in such a short space of time with alot of help from our own children, husbands, parents and staff. Thank you to all the parents for your support and patience.
We still have more resources, equipment and furnture to buy to finish it off perfectly!
Also a massive thanks to the staff at both nurseries keeping everything running smoothly while myself, Jo and Lyndsey have been back and forth.
We are looking forward to welcolming our existing and new children as we officially open tomorrow.

A huge and a very sad goodbye to those school leavers that have left us over the past 6 weeks, you will all be missed as you start your new adventure into school. Enjoy your new journey little people!

Our room temps have now hit 28+ degrees and 90% humidity, we reccomend you pick your children up at the earliest convenience , if possible. We were able to keep temps lower yesterday but we are fighting a losing battle today.

To keep the children cool on Thursday we are going to have a water fun day. Please send your children in swimwear , with a couple of changes of clothes, a towel , sun hat, plenty of suncream and a water blaster/ super soaker. No water balloons please. Also if children could arrive with suncream already applied it would be greatly appreciated and we will happily reapply throughout the day. We will also be having plenty of cold drinks and ice pops.

Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Permanent, Minimum 33 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 days per week (Includes 2x 8:00am starts and 2x 6:00pm finishes)

Due to an exciting period of expansion, our welcoming, family-run private day nursery is growing! We now have two fantastic leadership positions available across our beautifully equipped Lancaster sites.
Are you an experienced Early Years leader looking for a role that perfectly balances hands-on teaching with dedicated management time? This unique role is meticulously split to give you the best of both worlds: 2 days completely office-based to focus on administration, compliance, and leadership, and 2 days counted in the floor ratios to inspire our staff and interact with our wonderful children.

Key Responsibilities
• Nursery Leadership: Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of your designated site, stepping up to lead in their absence.
• Office & Administration (2 Days): Manage parent enquiries, update learning software, assist with staff rotas, and ensure strict compliance with EYFS framework and Ofsted regulations.
• Practice & Mentoring (2 Days): Work directly on the floor in ratio, role-modelling exceptional early years practice, mentoring room leaders, and ensuring high-quality care.
• Safeguarding: Act as a Deputy DSL to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
What We Are Looking For
• Qualifications: A minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (Level 5, Degree, or EYTS is highly desirable).
• Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager, Third-in-Charge, or an experienced Senior Room Leader looking to step up, or a practitioner with more than 2 years experience.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a rota that includes two 8:00am starts and two 6:00pm finishes.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of the EYFS, excellent communication skills, and confidence using nursery management software.

We are delighted to announce due to the expansion of our Lancaster site, we have openings available for September 2026. Spaces are available for infants (0-2), toddlers (2 years), and preschoolers (3-4 years). Our center is open 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, all year round (51 weeks) We accept children with funded and non-funded places, including those eligible for 30 hours free childcare, who can choose from three flexible hour options. Our fees are all-inclusive, with no hidden charges. We do not charge for bank holidays and provide a warm, engaging fun environment where children can thrive through play-based learning.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to share some exciting news with you about the future of Tiny Treasures Nursery!

Over the years, we have been incredibly proud to support so many children and families in our community. As our nursery continues to grow, we are pleased to announce that we will be expanding our provision by opening a new Pre-School Setting for children aged 3–4 years at Moorside Primary School.

This exciting development will provide our older children with a dedicated pre-school environment, designed to further support their independence, confidence, and school readiness. Being located within the grounds of a primary school will also help children become familiar with a school setting, making the transition to Reception an even more positive experience. However, the nursery will be privately run by the Tiny Treasures family and therefore independent from the school. Also attending the pre-school at Moorside, does not mean that your child will automatically be granted admission to that school, once your child is of school age.

As part of this change, our current nursery setting will focus on providing care and education for babies and children up to their third birthday. Children will then move on to our new pre-school setting, where they will continue their learning journey with the support of our experienced and caring team.

We understand that any change can bring questions, and we want to reassure you that maintaining continuity for children and families is our priority. We are working hard to ensure that the transition between settings is smooth, familiar, and enjoyable. Children will have opportunities to visit the new pre-school, spend time with staff, and become comfortable in their new environment before moving across.

Some of the benefits of this exciting expansion include:

• A dedicated learning environment tailored specifically for 3–4-year-olds.
• Enhanced opportunities to develop independence and school-readiness skills.
