The Little Cobbled Village is growing! 🥰

Alongside our existing business, we have officially launched:

💚 The Little Cobbled Village Community CIC 💚

But what actually is a CIC? 🤔

CIC stands for Community Interest Company.

In simple terms, it means we’ve created a separate organisation with a clear purpose of benefiting children, families and our local community.

Over the past 13 months, we’ve seen first-hand how much children and families can benefit from the Village. We’ve already delivered:

🧩 SEND-friendly sessions
🎒 School readiness activities
❤️ Children’s first aid workshops
🏫 Exclusive school & nursery sessions
🎉 Family and community events
🌈 Subsidised activities for local families

And we’ve realised there is so much more we want to do! 🫶

Our CIC has been created so we can develop our community work and create even more opportunities for children and families across Lancaster.

One of our biggest aims is to expand our SEND provision 🧩💚

We want to develop our sensory and inclusive resources, provide more SEND-friendly sessions and work alongside schools, Family Hubs, community organisations and other local partners.

This doesn’t replace The Little Cobbled Village — it’s an exciting new chapter alongside it. 🌈

The Village will continue doing what it does best, while our CIC allows us to explore new ways of supporting our community.
