A huge congratulations to Thomas Donnan, one of our guest drama tutors at Stagecoach Kendal & Lancaster, and a former Stagecoach Lakes Choir performer and Stagecoach Cockermouth student.

Thomas has recently returned to his home in the North for his latest professional theatre role. After continuing his passion for performing and training at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, we are incredibly proud to see his journey come full circle.

Thomas first performed at Theatre by the Lake back in 2014, and now, in 2026, he returns to the same stage as a cast member in Calendar Girls The Musical.

What an incredible achievement! 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate one of our wonderful Further Stages students, Nox, who has been awarded a Gifted & Talented Scholarship for the Level 3 Musical Theatre Training Academy in Preston! 🎭✨

Nox is the perfect example of what dedication, perseverance and passion can achieve. She works incredibly hard, embraces every challenge with determination, and brings so much energy and enthusiasm to every Saturday at Further Stages. Watching her grow in confidence, skill and artistry has been a privilege, and this scholarship is such a well-deserved recognition of her talent and commitment.

We couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved, and we can't wait to see where this exciting opportunity takes her next.

Prom season is always one of our favourite times of year. 💙✨

Seeing our young people all dressed up, looking absolutely incredible and stepping out with such confidence fills us with so much pride. It only seems like yesterday many of them were taking their very first steps onto the Stagecoach stage!

As you begin your next chapter, whether that’s sixth form, college, university, drama school, apprenticeships or the world of work, we wish you every success and happiness. Wherever life takes you, hold on to the confidence, resilience, kindness, creativity and friendships you’ve built along the way.

No one can ever accuse us of lacking variety in our productions! 😂

We do sometimes wonder what the neighbours must think… Last week the washing line was full of striped pyjamas and pirate costumes, and this week it’s cheerleader outfits, school shirts and leopard print unitards! 🎭☀️

We’re making the most of this gorgeous weather to get everything freshly washed, dried and ready to head back into the costume store. It’s an epic job, but we’re almost there… just in time for the next challenge – planning costumes for our Summer Schools!
