This week, our Reception children completed their Right Start Pedestrian Training — and they were all absolute superstars! ⭐️

Today, they put their learning into practice as they ventured out of school and demonstrated an excellent understanding of the ‘Stop, Look and Listen’ approach when crossing driveways and roads.

We were so impressed with how sensibly and safely they behaved. Well done Reception! 👏🚶‍♀️

Class 4 were incredibly privileged to have a visit from our MP Lizzi Collinge MP today. Lizzi spent time answering some excellent questions from the children and was even brave enough to ask everyone what they would do if they were Prime Minister for the day. Thank you to Lizzi and her team for making the visit possible.

Class 1 have really enjoyed learning all about Autumn 🍂 we have taken part in a scavenger hunt, learnt the Harvest Samba song, experimented by colour mixing, performed poetry, explored our investigation area in the classroom, made autumn crafts and even went into the forest to create autumnal forestry faces on the trees!

Thursday was National Poetry Day. Every class had a poetry focus during the day. Class 1 focused on Autumn and learnt and performed a poem together. Class 2, Class 3 and some of Class 4 were lucky enough to take part in a poetry workshop along with schools across the country, and even abroad. The poet, Ian Bland, helped them perform and then write poems. Some children were even brave enough to show off their work live online!
