Day 3 of the parallel histories training in Drogheda. Spent the day in Belfast looking at the murals on the Falls and Shankhill Rd as well as listening to commentary from reprasentatives of the republican and loyalist communities.

Second day of our parallel histories Ireland training event. We were welcomed to Sacred Heart school, Drogheda, by the headteacher and the newly appointed Mayor. We then looked at some of the local historic sites before all being taught Gaelic football and hurling. This was later followed by a session on the Belfast murals. And finished off with a tin whistle expert and some irish dancing!

Final day of our 5 day Parallel Histories training event. Included a trip to the English Lake District, final review of activities and certificate ceremony, including two songs sung by a talented French student

Brilliant start to our face to face meeting. Welcoming thirty odd students and teachers from Lyon in France, and Drogheda in Ireland. Great icebreakers and a research trip to Williamson Park.

The start of our Parallel histories training marathon began with a zoom meeting of teachers and students. Discussing expectations, hopes and aspirations. It was great to meet the students virtually.

DHE Solutions is external evaluator on the Erasmus+ funded project Weaving Webs of Stories - helping KS2 & KS3 children to improve literacy levels. Excellent project meeting held in Finsbury Park, London, where local MP Jeremy Corbyn was happy to come out and show his support for the project, and to the Erasmus + initiative.
