A huge thank you to our Sport Celebration Evening guest speaker Jeanie Starkie. Our children and parents found her Ironman journey so inspirational, her honesty and passion for health and wellbeing enabled our children to learn that it takes hard work and perseverance to succeed and that small steps are what builds big success. It was fantastic to have her as our first female guest speaker and weβre sure many of our girls are beginning to recognise the huge variety of sports that are out there for them to go and have a go at! Thank you Jeanie!

What a great experience for our year 5 and 6 Quad Athletics Team. They competed in the 600m run, howler throw, 75m sprint and standing long jump. They did themselves proud and encouraged each all day against outstanding competition.
Well done everyone especially the Year 6 children who were competing in their last competition for Bowerham! πͺ

π What a way to end the year! π
Our Year 2s had the best time celebrating their final Marble Day! π
The children started the day by making their own delicious fruit kebabs. They practised chopping, slicing and peeling showing great concentration and independence. It was lovely to see everyone creating colourful (and very tasty!) kebabs.
We then headed outside for lots of fun sports and games before finishing the day with an epic water fight! There were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter and a few very soggy children and staff! π¦π
A brilliant way to celebrate together before our Year 2s move on to their next adventure. We hope they had a Marble Day to remember! We wish you all the very best in Year 3ππππ

As we begin to bring our fantastic school year to a close, our Year 1 and Year 2 children have been completing their final narrative writing pieces.
π Year 1 have been inspired by Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers, creating their own versions of the story by changing the character and setting. It has been wonderful to see the children consolidate all of the writing skills they have developed throughout Year 1.
π Year 2 have been exploring the fantasy genre, writing imaginative stories about a dragon called Ember who has a very important package to deliver . They have been working hard to write in the past tense while using conjunctions, adjectives and adverbs to make their stories engaging.
π Today, our Year 1 and Year 2 children came together for a special story-sharing session, reading each otherβs work and celebrating how much theyβve grown as writers over the year.
It was lovely to see them so engaged, encouraging one another and taking pride in everything they have achieved.
We are incredibly proud of every single one of them. What a wonderful way to celebrate a year of writing! ππ

Well done to our amazing rounders team who had a successful trip to compete against Moorside last week.
The children have loved the rounders after school club. They have learnt the skills required and they put these to the test in three competitive matches. They won one, draw one and lost one.
Well done everyone! βοΈ
