Lancaster Independent School for Alternative Learning

Our first trip of the year to Middlewood was a huge success! For many children, this was only the first or second time they visited and despite weather concerns, it was a beautiful day. We played games in the woods and found lots of local flora and fauna. We spent the afternoon by the river, building a crossing to get through the fast flowing water.

A beautiful day for our May Day festival yesterday! The children led the way in maypole dancing, weaving complicated patterns with their ribbons. Some brave adults joined in and were carefully and earnestly instructed how to hold their ribbon and the most important rule: no overtaking! Special thanks to Hugh for providing music 🎶
