We can’t wait to welcome you into school tomorrow morning for our coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.

Please feel free to drop in anytime between 9-11am to enjoy a drink and a slice of cakes with your child.

All children will be enjoying cakes and drinks with their class during the morning.

Please send a donation into school either via Parent Pay or by sending cash into school. We will also be asking any visitors dropping in to dig deep in aid of this very worthy cause.

We are extremely grateful for any donations of cakes or biscuits (homemade/shop bought all very welcome). Please send these into school first thing tomorrow morning.

We are planning to open a community reading shed and are appealing for books to be donated to get it up and running.

Can you help with the adventures of Year 4?

The children in Year 4 are going on an outdoor education adventure in the Yorkshire Dales over the next couple of weeks. This will include ghyll scrambling and visiting Yordas Cave.

The children are going in groups of 10 and we are urgently looking for additional volunteers to allow these visits to go ahead.

If anyone can help on either 17th, 18th, 28th, 29th, 30th or 31st March, please get in touch.

For Year 4 parents, unfortunately, helping on the day of your child’s trip means that you don’t count towards helping with our ratios. If you are able to help on any of the other days, we would love to hear from you.

Football Kit To support the purchase of a new football kit for our wonderful school football team

A huge thank you to our amazingly caring school community for all the contributions that have flooded into school this week. We are absolutely overwhelmed.

The collection we are feeding into has now been extended into next week and a driver is picking up from school next Thursday.

Therefore, if anyone would like to make further contributions, we will continue to collect until Wednesday 9th March.

It’s impossible to imagine how the people of Ukraine are feeling right now, but we would like to try to help by sharing what we can with those who need it the most.

We are collecting donations which will be delivered to refugees of women, children and babies at the Polish borders via TippyToes BabyBank.

If you would like to support this appeal, please drop off any of the items listed below via the school office. Due to a quick turnaround, all donations need to be dropped off by the end of school on Thursday 3rd March.

Required are:

Baby blankets
Warm fleece blankets for children/women
Warm socks (all ages)
New baby bottles
Baby comforters
Hat, scarf and glove sets (baby, children, women)
Sanitary wear
Bandages
Baby food pouches
Baby/children’s toiletries
Towels/flannels
Baby milk (powdered)
Nappies (especially sizes 5, 5+, 6, 6+)

The foodbank is currently running really low on some key items, leaving them struggling to meet demand.

From today, in addition to our regular collections, we are going to leave a box in the entrance area at all times. If you would like to make a donation at any time, please pop it in the box and we will make sure it gets to the Foodbank.
