Join us for Lancaster University’s next screening of the People Emergency Briefing🎬

Taking place on Monday 12th October (18:00-20:30), the film brings together 9 leading UK scientists on climate change, revealing the latest evidence and shear severity of the emergency we are facing today🚨

Hosted at Take 2 Cinema Cinema, the screening will be opened by Professor Mike Berners-Lee, Chair of the National Emergency Briefing.

After the screening, there will be an opportunity to discuss what it means for us and what we can do about it.

This screening comes after the Great Hall was packed-out for the first screening back in April.

This year’s Sustainability Competition is here!🏆

Check out this year’s handbook using the link in our bio where you see all the criteria detailing how you can score points and win £250! You can also start uploading evidence using the Microsoft Form in our bio!✍️

We have new criteria this year including Cost of Living Support and Carbon Literacy🤩

Cartmel, Pendle and Grizedale JCR’s have all signed up, along with Climate Action Society so far! You can still sign up if you want to take part in this year’s competition🌳

Sign up now to this year’s Sustainability Competition using the link in our bio!🏆

If you’re part of a Society, Sport Club or JCR and want to make a difference for sustainability while also being in with a chance to win £250 for your group, sign up now!💚

The Sustainability Competition is delivered by LUSU Green in partnership with Lancaster University, and rewards student groups for taking sustainable actions.

Sign up before Monday 14th September! This is when you’ll receive this year’s handbook containing everything you need to know including how to score points, and ultimately, how to win!

Weekly leaderboards will be posted from Week 1 (Week commencing 5th Oct), and culminate in Week 20 (19th March 2027)
