After what feels like a lifetime, we have finally had our Ofsted inspection published this morning ! which means we are able to share this with our families (link below). We are extremely happy to say the inspector could see all the hard work the practitioners put in to creating an enabling, inclusive, safe and happy space for your children that is full of learning opportunities.

Calling all Preschool Leavers 2026…

one week to go for the deadline for Primary School Admissions. Please make sure you complete the form even if you have a sibling at the school you want your child to attend.
You must also make three selection otherwise Lancashire could assign your child to any school.

This morning we had a a very lovely Dental Nurse, Helen visit us from Marketgate Dental! We learned lots about teeth and why we need them and how to look after them!!
Thankyou Helen, the children loved meeting you this morning!!!

What a great day it's been over at Brookdale Nursery over in sunny Lancaster delivering Paediatric First Aid for the staff, many thanks to the proprietor Sue Walker and the manager Lianne for looking after us so well and hosting the course.

We’ve a couple of things happening at the back door!
The walk and talk initiative is aimed at supporting our children to communicate! These are the places I have picked out from the LCC early years website, If you do manage to get out and about and go to any of these places, please send us a picture so we can pop it on our board!

We also have a new ‘Proud Cloud’ …… has your little one done something amazing this week? Please pop it on our proud cloud and we can all celebrate!

Following a very intricate story the children created in the small world involving a King, a Pirate, a Knight and a loose Cannon ……. A pirate left us a treasure map this afternoon
We had to work out where to go following the arrows and keep our eyes peeled for the treasure! We used language like in, on, under, next to, in front and behind
X marks the spot!
Well done everyone

The children have taken a great interest in cars and mechanics. So Lianne brought her car round onto the concrete! The children did a good job washing the car and then Lianne popped the bonnet and we had a look underneath!!

The children filled their pebble jar on Wednesday so we had a special visitor!
