Thursday 15 October | 6.00–7.30pm

Join Gillian Hall, third-generation cheesemaker and owner of Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, to hear how she led her family business through the devastating 2023 fire that destroyed part of the Lancashire dairy operation.

This powerful conversation will explore **resilience, crisis leadership, protecting a family legacy and finding opportunity in adversity**.

🚀 The Accidental Entrepreneur
Thursday 12 November | 6.00–7.30pm

Join Professor Ian Gordon, entrepreneur, educator and Lancaster alumnus, as he reflects on 50 years spanning academia and entrepreneurship.

Ian will share stories from a remarkable career, including lessons from building and selling businesses, navigating failure and reinvention, and his five-point plan for getting the important things right.

Both events offer an opportunity to hear honest, personal stories and practical insights from people who have experienced the realities of leadership and entrepreneurship first-hand.
