Due to a flood in our school canteen this afternoon, our normal lunch service was unable to take place, and we were unable to serve our advertised menu.

Pupils were offered a variety of sandwiches, cakes and drinks in a staggered manner as a result. We apologise for the change in our normal routine.

All food and drink served to pupils today was free of charge, and we will update you later today about what our service will look like tomorrow.

Pupils and staff at Lancaster High School have been incredibly generous with their donations for Morecambe Bay Food Bank's Harvest appeal. It's not too late to contribute as the collection will be collected tomorrow morning - please bring any donations of 'meals in a tin' to reception.

YEAR 7 MEET THE HOUSE TUTOR EVENING

5pm - 7pm on Thursday 1st October. Appointments can be made via School Cloud (link below) to come in to school and chat with your child's House Tutor and the Year 7 Pastoral Team. A reminder to families that pupils have a 4 day week this week (school closed Friday for staff INSET).
We encourage 100% attendance across the 4 days and all pupils who are successful receive a ticket into a group stage prize draw on Monday 5th October to win vouchers and sweet treats and a second ticket into our grand draw to win a pair of bluetooth headphones.

✅ Tinned beans with sausage
✅ Tinned ravioli
✅ Tinned macaroni cheese
✅ Cup a Soups

If families are able to support, items can be left with House Tutors or at Reception - thank you for helping us to serve our wider community.

Lancaster High will be holding a cake sale on Friday 25th September to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Donations of cakes are welcomed into school on Thursday or Friday morning. Please bring money to buy a cake on Friday!

Thank you to Sultan Experience for the delivery of delicious pizzas for our champions this week, we are very grateful to you and delighted to be supported by one of our ex-pupils.

Thank you to 'Streetwise' for coming in to school today to do a performance for the whole of year 7 on road safety. Pupils learnt how to be more aware of their own safety near roads and to encourage others to be aware of their surroundings.

It was a great interactive performance and thank you to the team who delivered the session today.
