I started playing when I was 12 years old and was playing gigs at the age of 13. I have, over the years, played in lots of different bands and situations. I have played in rock, blues, jazz, funk, metal bands playing all sorts of instruments. I have played in theatre orchestras, completed session work for artists, composed a series of music for horses and dressage. I have composed about 100’s of p
ieces of music ranging from metal to funk to classical to jazz to acoustic etc. I am very passionate about music and hopefully you will see this when we start lessons. I have a very relaxed but structured approach to my teaching and provide a comprehensive contact service outside of my lessons if you require support with anything musical. I can support you to undertake musical grades if you wish. Some of my students go on to further study at the Royal Northern College of Music and other places. The growth of my business has meant that I have moved to on-line lessons only using Zoom. These have proved extremely popular with my long standing and new students largely because I have a range of broadcast facilities available - which allows the use of multi angled camera shots, whiteboards, file sharing and use of my recording studio. As a consequence I am now teaching UK wide and internationally, with students in New Zealand, Canada, Malta and France.
