Hi everyone,
My apologies for being so quiet since the end of term. It has been an incredibly busy summer getting everything ready for our new services for September.
I am busy contacting all clients at the moment to see which route everyone would like to continue with, so please be reassured that I will be in contact prior to school starting on Monday.
Our new timetable will start from the 8th September, just so we can give everyone a week to settle into school and get back into routine.
Those that I haven’t managed to catch-up with yet, I will be in contact as soon as possible.

This video really resonated with me, as I’m sure it will with many of our parents. This year has been one of the hardest year for us to try and find the right schools/provision for some of our students as they prepare to leave primary school. Accurately described as those children ‘in between’ who just don’t have the right setting to attend and fail as a result of this system in both primary and secondary schools. Such a perfect poem to describe the devastating situation for many of our children through primary beyond. So sad 😞

I want to start with a huge thank you for all the lovely presents from our wonderful Lighthouse Academy children and parents. We have been truly spoilt this year 😊

I hope that everybody has a great time at the Halloween swimming party this afternoon! Unfortunately, I’m not feeling too well so I won’t be attending. However, I’m certain that your hosts 3-1-5 and Stingrays will show you all an excellent time!
I hope you’ve all had a lovely week off school. I know term dates can differ in this area, so as a quick reminder, our term starts again from tomorrow.

Hi everyone,

This week, we are running two Halloween themed tuition days! We will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday with the following sessions.

10-12
Learning through play for ages 3 years +
The learning environment will be set up with a range of English and Maths games/activities for the children to access and play with their friends.

12-2
Mixed aged tuition block- Maths and English
This session will run like our usual sessions of Maths and English with short bursts of table time, as well as lots of learning through choice and play.

2-4
Ages 8+- Maths and English
This session will run like our usual sessions of Maths and English with short bursts of table time, as well as lots of learning through choice and play.

I’ve copied this from someone else.

The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.

And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.

If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.

Back to school!

Hello everyone,

We have had a fantastic summer here at Lighthouse Academy; we’ve been very busy with lots of new students enjoying their learning and ready to get rolling with us from September!

I am currently busy working through our lists of parents/children to confirm groups/timetable changes.

We will be starting back from the 9th of September and we will be closed from the 30th August- 8th September.

Following your confirmation phone call this week, you will also receive an email with all details and term dates.

I can’t wait to see you all back and I hope you’ve all had a great summer!
