A Message to Parents — From Grand Master Hudson

When a child steps onto the mat for the first time, they think they’re learning how to kick and punch.
What they soon discover — and what I’ve had the privilege of watching for decades — is that Taekwondo is an art form that shapes far more than the body.

It shapes character.

In my classes, your child won’t just be learning techniques. They’ll be learning how to focus, how to breathe, how to persevere when something feels difficult, and how to carry themselves with quiet confidence. Not the kind of confidence that comes from winning a level on a video game — but the kind that grows from real effort, real progress, and real pride.

Taekwondo gives children a full‑body workout, yes — but it also trains the mind.

They learn discipline without harshness, respect without fear, and resilience without pressure. They learn how to fall, how to get back up, and how to try again with a smile. And perhaps one of the most beautiful things I see is the friendships.
Children who train together grow together. They celebrate each other’s achievements, support each other through challenges, and form bonds that often last well beyond their time in the dojang.

KUKKIWON REGISTRATION

A Kukkiwon number is a unique, official identification number issued by the Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) in South Korea. It proves that a taekwondo practitioner's black belt rank (Dan or Poom) is authentic, registered, and globally recognized.

Official Registry: It acts as your permanent ID in the international database.

Global Validity: Required for competing in international tournaments or verifying rank when changing schools or moving countries.

Rank Level: Tied to your specific degree (1st Dan through 9th Dan for adults, or Poom for youth under 15).
