From Past To Purpose Helping Women Rebuild Self-Trust & Identity After Domestic Abuse | Trauma-Informed Coach | Creator of From Past To Purpose® | Speaker

From Past To Purpose® is a trauma-informed personal transformation and astrology practice helping people understand themselves, trust themselves and build lives and relationships rooted in self-worth, safety and purpose. Our work is built around three pillars: Prevent, Heal and Align. We provide preventative education to build strong foundations in self-worth, boundaries, red-flag awareness and healthy relationships; trauma-informed coaching to help people heal from difficult or damaging experiences; and personalised guidance to create greater clarity, alignment and direction. Through 1:1 coaching, group programmes, workshops, masterclasses, birth-chart reports and astrology guidance, we combine psychological understanding, nervous-system awareness and astrological insight. Clients are supported to understand the patterns influencing their choices, stop people-pleasing, recognise red flags, communicate their needs, set firm boundaries and make decisions that reflect their true values. Our work includes the signature From Past To Purpose® Programme, SteadyHeart™, Strong Foundations™ and The Purpose Prescription™, alongside individual coaching, astrology and personal insight services. We also deliver talks and workshops for organisations and communities. Lasting transformation isn’t about becoming someone different. It begins with understanding who you are, trusting yourself and building from stronger foundations. Website:

I’m really pleased to share my first article for The Sole Alliance Magazine:

'A Change of Season: When Your Life No Longer Fits the Person You Are Becoming'

Autumn often returns us to familiar routines, responsibilities and expectations. But sometimes, getting “back to normal” makes us realise that normal no longer feels right.

In the article, I explore why we can remain in roles, relationships and patterns we have outgrown and why this is not always a lack of confidence or willpower. Sometimes, what feels familiar also feels safer, even when it is no longer helping us.

It is an invitation to notice what has changed within you, understand what may be influencing your choices and consider what a more honest and purposeful direction could look like.

This is the first article in a three-part seasonal series, which will continue through Christmas and into the New Year.

A huge thank you to Alison Walker for inviting me to write for The Sole Alliance and giving me the opportunity to share more about the work at the heart of From Past To Purpose®.

You can leave the relationship and still be living with what it taught you to believe about yourself.

For one of my clients, that looked like anxiety, withdrawing from friends and believing that nobody really cared about her.

Even something as ordinary as going into town had become difficult because of the fear that she might see her ex.

This is why my work doesn't start with “just be more confident” or “put yourself out there.”

We looked at what was sitting underneath the anxiety, where those beliefs had come from and how they were still influencing her life. Then we worked on rebuilding self-trust, challenging those old messages and taking small, manageable steps towards reconnecting with people again.

And things changed.

Her anxiety reduced. She reconnected with friends. She began feeling supported and valued again, developed healthier boundaries and started rebuilding her sense of self-worth.

Because sometimes the relationship is over, but its influence isn't.

Swipe through to see a little more of what our work together looked like and what changed.

This is From Past To Purpose® - helping women create a life that the past no longer dictates.

There’s a lot more to a coaching day than sitting on Zoom asking, “And how does that make you feel?” 😂

Most days start with a latte. Laptop open, coffee in hand, and I’ll usually spend the first part of the morning checking emails, replying to messages, catching up on socials and getting organised for whatever the day holds.

And, at this point there’s a second latte.

At 11am today, I have a Clarity Call with someone new where I get to hear a little about what’s been happening in someone’s life, what they’re struggling with, what they’d like to change and how I could support them.

Then at 1pm, my coaching looks completely different to the usual session...

Rather than sitting in an office, I'm supporting a client with getting out into the community. We're going to a coffee shop and working on confidence alongside nervous system regulation.

That’s something I think people don't always realise about my work. Coaching doesn't always mean sitting down and having a deep conversation for an hour. Sometimes the work is in actually *doing the thing* and putting what we're learning into practice in real life.

There isn't really a “typical” day.

One day I might be talking about boundaries and self-trust. Another I’m helping someone understand their nervous system. I could be writing a report, delivering a workshop, creating resources or having that very first conversation with somebody who's decided they want things to change.

That’s a little look behind the scenes of life as a trauma-informed coach

On a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being impossible - 10 being easy peasy) - how easy is it for you to say no?

You know you want to say no.
You know you're taking on too much.
You know you're unhappy with something.

So why can't you “just change it”?
Why can't you "just stop agreeing"?
Why can't you "just say no"?

It's easy to look at yourself and think:
“Why am I making this so difficult?”

But sometimes the decision itself isn't the difficult part.

It's everything your mind tells you might happen afterwards...
What if they get annoyed?
What if they think I'm selfish?
What if I regret it?
What if I make the wrong decision?
What if I upset someone?

So you say yes to the thing you don't want to do.

Take on the extra responsibility.
Stay quiet about what bothered you.
Put off making the decision.
And afterwards, you're frustrated with yourself because you KNOW you didn't really want that.

I've experienced that disconnect between knowing something and actually trusting yourself enough to act on it and that's one of the reasons I care so much about what happens after an abusive relationship has ended.

Getting your freedom back doesn't necessarily mean you suddenly feel free to use it.

Imagine being able to make a decision because it's right for you without first calculating how everybody else might react.

To say no without needing an excuse.

To change your mind.

To want something simply because YOU want it.

Sometimes the biggest change isn't changing your whole life - it's realising you don't need permission to choose how you live it.

If you've been recognising yourself in this, I'll be talking much more about what can still be happening after you've left in my From Past To Purpose® Masterclass on Tuesday 13 October.

Isolation doesn't always begin with someone saying, “You're not allowed to see them.”

It can happen much more gradually than that.

Maybe they don't like one of your friends.

Then there's always tension when you make plans with her.

Your family are accused of interfering.

They make you feel guilty for wanting to spend time away from them.

They start arguments before you go out, message constantly while you're there, or create an atmosphere when you get home.

Eventually, cancelling plans can feel easier than dealing with what comes afterwards.

And little by little, your world becomes smaller.

You might see friends less.

Stop telling your family what's really happening.

Turn down invitations.

Lose touch with people you once spoke to all the time.

Or become increasingly dependent on your partner for company, reassurance and support.

Sometimes you don't even realise how isolated you've become until you look around and wonder where everyone went.

Having a partner who doesn't get along with every friend or family member isn't automatically isolation. Disagreements and personality clashes happen.

The important thing to notice is the pattern.

Are you becoming disconnected from the people who matter to you?

Do you feel that maintaining other relationships comes with consequences?

Are you changing your choices to avoid their reaction?

A healthy relationship shouldn't require you to gradually give up the rest of your world in order to keep it.

If this feels familiar and you'd like to explore what support could look like, message me PURPOSE.

Sometimes moving forward isn’t about doing more.

It’s about realising what you don’t want to take with you.

Maybe this year you’ve become clearer about what you will and won’t accept.

You’re starting to notice what drains you rather than automatically pushing through it.

You’re becoming more aware of what you actually want, instead of making every decision around keeping everybody else happy.

And perhaps there are parts of your old life, old expectations or even an old version of yourself that simply don’t fit anymore.

That deserves space to be recognised.

This Wednesday I’m running Autumn Transitions – A Practical Workshop for Letting Go and Moving Forward.

It’s a chance to step away from everyday life for an evening and look at what you’re ready to leave in the season behind you - and, importantly, what you want to make more room for next.

More peace.
More confidence in your own decisions.
More of the things that make you feel like yourself again.

Rebuilding your life isn’t only about healing what happened in the past - it’s about deciding what you want your future to look and feel like, too.

WHAT IF YOUR PAST STOPPED GETTING A VOTE ON YOUR FUTURE?

What if you woke up one day and realised…

I actually really like my life.

Not because everything is perfect.

But because it feels like **mine**.

You know who you are again.

You’ve rediscovered things you’d forgotten you enjoyed - and found completely new things you never expected to love.

You have people around you who add to your life.

You make plans because you’re excited about them.

You have ideas for your future that feel possible.

Maybe you travel somewhere you’ve always wanted to go.

Change direction in your career.

Start something of your own.

Date again — if you want to.

Or discover that you absolutely love having the bed to yourself.

You laugh more.

You try things.

You surprise yourself.

And perhaps, for the first time in a very long time, you’re not simply wondering what comes next.

You’re looking forward to finding out.

Because rebuilding your life isn’t just about healing.

It’s about getting to know the woman you are now and asking:

**What do I want to do with the rest of my life?**

That’s the future I want women to see when they discover From Past To Purpose®.

Not a life defined by what happened to you.

A life defined by what you choose to create next.

If that’s the kind of change you want, DM or comment **PURPOSE** and I’ll send you more about From Past To Purpose®.

What does "wealth" mean to you?

To many wealth is money, holidays and aesthetics that are Instagram worth.

To me it means working for myself,
getting to choose the hours and days that I work,
getting to choose who I work with,
the flexibility to have slow mornings.

But more importantly:
getting home to a quiet house,
living alone knowing the calm won't - and can't - be disrupted by chaos,
peaceful evenings,
chilled vibes that stay that way,
no drama llama
..get the gist?

After living with domestic abuse, every moment of calm is so important.

At first, the quiet can feel unknown, uncomfortable and scary.

But gradually, you learn how valuable peace is.

What does wealth mean to you? Is peace on your list, too?
