Year 9 have taken the win for singing and responding well at Morning Prayer this week, but it is going to take something special to beat Year 7 next week!! If you'd like to hear them sing today's hymn, please click the link below. Simply incredible.
Moments like this remind us why we work in Catholic education. It truly is unique. Today, our young people sang Here I Am, Lord, a hymn inspired by the call of the Prophet Samuel. In singing these words they responded to the call to follow Christ, to do God's will, and to live lives full of holiness and hope, themes that Jenny, our Lay Chaplaincy Coordinator, reflected upon following the Scripture readings.
Parents, carers and our wider school family, thank you for your ongoing support as we teach our children to pray and strive to make this the very best Catholic school it can be!
As the singing finished, a Year 11 pupil who support assembly turned to me and said, "Sir, that was amazing." It was a powerful reminder that we are doing something very right, and that our youngest pupils can inspire our oldest!
Amazing - have a great weekend with your families.
