Our wonderful tutor, Rachel, has officially clocked out and signed off for maternity leave! 🍼💖
She’s swapping lesson plans for baby plans, early mornings for even earlier mornings, and marking work for mastering the art of nappy changing! 👶✨
Please join us in wishing her all the love, luck, and happiness as she begins this exciting new adventure. We know she’ll be absolutely amazing in her newest role yet — Mum! 💕
We would also like to say a huge WELL DONE to all of our students and staff for their incredible hard work over the last couple of weeks- it has not gone unnoticed. 🌟👏
Now it’s time for a well-earned break — enjoy your half term, recharge, relax, and we’ll see you all soon for the final stretch! 🚀📚

Our footballers have been in action this week for the House Football Tournament, aka The FL Trophy!
This was a 5-a-side with three teams in the Sports Hall:
A combined Fox/Blossom team, then teams from Peregrine and Macqueen!
Game 1 was a close win for Fox/Blossom against the Blues of Peregrine (2-1),
Game 2 saw a slightly tired Fox/Blossom overpowered by Macqueen by the same score, in a feisty game!
A deciding Game 3 had Macqueen get the required win, 5-3, over Peregrine!
Final Table
1st Macqueen 6pts (2W)
2nd Fox/Blossom 3pts (1W, 1L)
3rd Peregrine 0pts (2L)
Sam from Sport presented the trophy, with extra congratulations going to Golden Boot Brad, Golden Gloves winner Kieran B and Most Assists to Steven W 🏆 A big shout out to EL1 ASDAN who were the best supporters ever, with noise, banners and enthusiasm ☺️

🚨Today we were lucky to have a presentation in FL from one of our college horticulture lecturers, who is also a part time policeman with Lancashire Police Force. 👮♂️
🐇🦡Jon spoke particularly about rural crime and opportunities for our learners, such as in police cadets.
⛓️💥We were privileged to get to try on some of his uniform too! Learners enjoyed the opportunity immensely- especially getting to handcuff staff!
Thank you so much Jon!

🌳 EL3 Employability, along with other FL classes, have been looking at our local environment and what we can do to help it.
🌺In recent weeks we have made natural bird feeders, flower seed bombs from waste paper as well as litter picking. 🪶
🦔 We are really pleased that some of the work we have done can also support some of the hedgehogs that we have onsite! 🦔
Some of these prickly ones have been released through Hedgehog Rescue Blackpool and we are keen to make sure they have the best chances possible.
If you’d like to get involved in helping hedgehogs too let us know below 👇🏻

Huge congratulations to one of our Foundation Learning students, who has just completed his GOLD DoE! 🎉
Jack had to take part in a 4 day expedition, cook his food independently, regular volunteering at Rascals play centre as well as regular exercise at the gym.
Jack is now waiting to hear when he will have his presentation at Buckingham Palace! 🏅
Well done from us all Jack - you should be incredibly proud of your achievement!
