Excellence Award for Global Storylines
Good news for Global Storylines. The West of Scotland Development Education Centre (WOSDEC) team, plus Marie Jeanne McNaughton and Lynn Baxendale have just been presented with an Excellence Award from the General Teaching Council, Scotland (GTC, Scotland). We're very proud that the Global Storylines approach has been recognised as making an important contribution to Scottish Education. (See the WOSDEC report, below.)

WOSDEC are proud winners of the GTC-S 2017 Excellence in Professional Learning Awards for Global Storylines. Over 250 teachers, across 10 Local Authorities have been trained in Global Storylines which combines traditional inter-disciplinary methods of Storyline with values-based research, process drama and deep reflection through the exploration of real global issues. This programme offers GTC-S accredited professional recognition in Education for Global Citizenship. The 2017 course is well under way but keep your eyes open for the next course which will run 2018/19!
