Couldn't find fabric I liked for the new project so going to make it myself

Now to choose the fabric 😄

Made more shorts today for mini-me.

Spent a long time online looking for runner style shorts in the colour combination I wanted, but nowhere sold them. So I bought the fabric and searched online for a sewing pattern. Couldn't find one. I used cling film and sticky tape to get my size and shape and made a sewing pattern using the cling film and tape as a guide. Used a cotton poplin material in burgundy which is super light, ideal for the hot days. No stretch in the fabric so made allowances for this when drawing the sewing pattern.

Another project completed. I will be making Aalia some leggings out of the left over material. With this fabric it's important to make sure all elements of the fabric is matching, direction of stretch, direction of pattern and making the pocket pattern blend in so you can't see the pocket which is shown in the picture. It makes it all aesthetically pleasing. The beauty of making your own clothes is no one else owns it, it's your personal choice of fabric. I'm actually eying up an unopened duvet cover I have which would make a really nice blouse for me.

A few more personal projects this month then I will make plans to start the business up. What I will offer is:

°plus a new addition :Cuddle Bear'. Cuddle bear is a touching tribute to a loved one. Will feature the picture tummy and personalised embroidery and will contain the sealed ashes of someone passed. The rest of the Cuddle Bear will be made up of clothing of the loved one.

Making another bookbag for Aalia's cousin 💜

It's a bookbag. Aalia chose the colour because she loves teal and she is crazy about unicorns. It's fully lined, strong and waterproof.

Can you guess what I'm making? This was a project for the summer hols but never got round to it.

Another wood project completed. Aalia's artwork which won her 2nd place in the school eisteddfod last year. I didn't make the picture frame just the cupboard frame. I replaced the back of the picture with a white board. Also lots of space to add letter holder etc.
