A huge thank you again to everyone who made a scarecrow, bought a trail sheet, volunteered, sponsored the event or came along over the weekend. Your support helps Friends of Lacock School raise funds for the children at Lacock School.

Now the Lacock Scarecrow Trail 2026 has finished, we thought we’d share photos of this year’s scarecrows for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you so much if you joined us to follow our scarecrow trail on the weekend just gone! We do think it was one of the best we’ve ever held - in terms of both scarecrow creativity and the atmosphere around the village was fantastic!! 🥰🥰🥰

Our beautiful, funny, hardworking volunteers have had a little bit of well earned rest Monday, and are now busy marking submitted sheets this evening.
We will contact trail sheet winners tomorrow and publish answers later this week on this page. (Raffle prize winners were contacted Sunday)

May we take this opportunity to thank all of our scarecrow makers, scarecrow hosts, visitors, Lacock Villagers, attending supporting businesses, prize donators, scarecrow sponsors and of course every single volunteer without whom we could not run such a brilliant weekend 💖💖 to raise funds for our local village primary Lacock C of E Primary School.

Parking update - The Red Lion car park is now full !

Lacock is very busy at the moment, so please park responsibly and avoid blocking roads, entrances or access for emergency vehicles.

If you’re driving or cycling through the village, please take extra care as there are lots of visitors walking around.

What a brilliant first day of the Lacock Scarecrow Trail 2026.

It was lovely to see so many people out exploring the village, following the trail and spotting this year’s Children’s Books scarecrows.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along today, bought a trail sheet, visited the school, supported the BBQ, cakes, raffle, tombola and ice cream, and helped make Day 1 such a success.

We’ll be back again tomorrow for Day 2, so if you missed it today, there’s still time to come and join us.

🤫 Quiet Time at the Scarecrow Trail 🤫

Collect your trail sheets and purchase raffle tickets from the school playground this Saturday evening from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and enjoy the trail when it's quieter in the village.

Don’t forget to hand in your completed trail sheets before you leave.

By returning your sheet, you’ll be entered into our £50 M&S voucher draw, and your votes help us choose this year’s favourite scarecrows.

If you’re able to, please also tick the Gift Aid box. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, but it means a £5 donation becomes £6.25 for the school.

Every completed sheet handed in helps, so please don’t forget to return yours. Thank you for supporting Lacock School.

🍔 BBQ is on at the school!

If you’re exploring the Lacock Scarecrow Trail today, pop down to the school for burgers, hot dogs and bacon baps.

There are cold drinks, cakes, ice cream and raffle tickets too, so it’s well worth a stop while you’re in the village.
