Today we said our goodbyes to our older children who will be moving up to primary school in September. It’s always hard to let our preschoolers go and it’s been a very emotional day for all of our staff who have weathered a very difficult year. Mobberley Preschool Committee would like to thank all of our wonderful teachers, parents, preschoolers and our amazing community for helping us get to this day of celebration and beyond!!

Fundraising to build a financial buffer isn’t the glamorous side of running a preschool — but after a year of unexpected expenses, it has become one of the most important things we can do for the future of our setting.

That’s why we are so incredibly grateful for the support shown at Mrs Eadie’s Bonkers Bingo this evening. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, we raised over £600 towards strengthening our financial buffer.

It may not sound exciting, but having that extra security means extra stability for our preschool for the next school year, reassurance for our families, and the ability to continue providing a safe, nurturing environment for our children no matter what challenges come our way.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and supported us. Your kindness and community spirit mean more than you know. 💛

Just three Knutsford businesses that have been kind enough to support us during our save the preschool campaign amongst many, many kind individuals and community groups who have rallied around to raise funds for us. We are so grateful to everyone who has given and offered support. Our banner may not be up any longer but we still need all the funds we can get to help rebuild for our future. Thank you so much to the children in year 5 at Mobberley Primary School for their generous donation of £105 which was deposited by Clare Northover. We’ve heard all about how hard you have worked to raise these funds and we are so extremely grateful for your effort! You should all be very proud!!

Whilst we have reached our total in order to be able to open our doors in September, our fundraising efforts continue in order to enable us to be financially viable into the long distant future. Any contribution you can give will help.

🌈 Mobberley Preschool Will Be Opening for the 2026/2027 School Year 🌈

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, together with recent fundraising efforts, we have now secured enough funding to continue operating into the 2026/2027 academic year.

This is a huge step forward, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported us so far.

However, while we have carefully budgeted our current funds, we still need to strengthen our financial position further to provide a comfortable buffer for unforeseen costs and future overheads and to provide the best opportunities for our preschoolers. As a small charity, unexpected expenses can have a significant impact, so continuing to build our reserves remains very important.

We are therefore asking for your continued support. Every donation, fundraiser attendance, share, and recommendation genuinely helps us move closer to long-term stability.

For nearly 60 years, Mobberley Preschool has supported local children as they learn, play, build friendships, and transition confidently together into Mobberley Primary School. With your help, we can continue doing that for many years to come.

With our financial security more certain we are appealing to those parents whose children will be hoping to attend Mobberley Primary School in 2027 to consider enrolling with us for September 2026. Increased enrolment will assist us in further strengthening our reserves and help us to build for our future.

Research shows that children who already know classmates when they start school often:

* settle emotionally more quickly
* show greater confidence
* experience less anxiety
* participate more readily in class and play
* and develop a stronger sense of belonging

Once again, with the support and kindness of our community our nature garden has been tended and we now have a safe path by which to access it. Thank you so much to those individuals who helped and offered help. We are thoroughly enjoying being able to use this little corner of tranquility (yes it is possible even with a gaggle of children!) We have been busy today on a bug hunt, we have enjoyed physical activities and have used pots and pans to make music. Being outdoors and exploring nature is massively beneficial to our preschoolers who love to spend hours here. ❤️
