✏️📚🏫 A New Chapter Begins! 🏫📚✏️

Today’s a big day: primary school places have been announced! 📬✨ We’re bursting with pride for our little superstars and feel incredibly lucky to have been part of their journey so far. Now, we’re ready to cheer them on as they take their next exciting step! 🌟💛

In the months ahead, we’ll be sharing plenty of gentle tips, playful activities, and positive ideas to help make the move to ‘big school’ feel fun, smooth, and full of confidence. Meanwhile, our wonderful team will be busy behind the scenes doing all sorts of lovely things to support each child at their own pace. 🎨🧩🖍️

Yesterday some of our learners who are part of the SEND in the Outdoors Bootcamp cohort visited Strawberry Field where they had the opportunity to explore the outdoor environment and considered how this could provide a range of experiences for children with SEND.

They also looked at how inclusive the areas were and the enhancements they might make to enable children with SEND to participate in a range of different activities. This led to some great conversations about the benefits of being outdoors. We also had a tour of the exhibition and learnt about the history of Strawberry Field 🍓 and also the work they do including the amazing Steps to Work programme which supports young adults with learning difficulties or other barriers to employment, some of whom Kids Planet have provided opportunities for. Shout out to Jess from Strawberry Field for showing us around. Thanks to our amazing Academy tutor Bethany Moore for organising a great morning which gave us plenty to talk about with regards to ideas for future cohorts.
