Team Earth have been scientists this week. The children have been investigating how waterproof different materials are. They created their own test, thinking about what they would change and what they would need to keep the same to make it fair. They are using this experiment to think about the best material for an area of their playground to keep them dry. Fantastic questioning and drawing conclusions from their findings.

This week Manor Park enjoyed a whole school trip to Chester Zoo. Everyone had a great day and saw lots of exciting animals. Even the tigers came out to say hello!

Thank you to the parent volunteers who were invaluable on the day and to the Manor Park School Association for helping pay the costs of the coach.

Team Mercury were very lucky with the weather today and managed to have a walk in our local area without getting rained on! We visited lots of local food outlets to explore what foods are available. A big thank you to The Welcome, The Knutsford Sandwich Co and The Golden Lantern for making us feel so welcome and sending us home with lots of goodies, we really do appreciate your kindness.

Today in PE, Team Mars got very creative as they used their bodies to make different pasta shapes! 🤸‍♀️ They worked in pairs to create a fun sequence of three pasta poses, carefully choosing which body parts worked best for each shape.
Not stopping there, they challenged themselves even more by joining larger groups and creating brand-new sequences using even more pasta shapes. The teamwork, imagination and effort on display were fantastic — what amazing performances! 🌟👏

Team Mercury had a real adventure this week. We walked to the Co-op to buy ingredients for spaghetti and meatballs. Then back in class we were are involved in making the meatballs and the tomato sauce. We stirred the meatball mixture, rolled our own meatballs and then chopped onions and garlic for the tomato sauce. Obviously the best part was eating it! We all went home with the recipe so we can make it at home.
