🌟 Developing Independence Through Caring Play! 👶🧸

Last week our preschool children were been busy practising their self-care skills through imaginative play! They had a wonderful time trying to dress our baby dolls, carefully putting on their clothes and showing lots of patience as they worked things out.

This activity encouraged the children to develop their independence, coordination and confidence, while also demonstrating care, kindness and consideration for others. 💕

It was lovely to see them taking their time, helping their babies and proudly showing what they could do. These everyday experiences are such a valuable way for children to learn important life skills through play. 🌈✨

⭐️ Staff Member of the Month – July ⭐️

Every month, we love recognising a member of our team who has gone above and beyond, making a real difference to the lives of our little ones. 💛

This month, we're delighted to celebrate Gemma! 🌟

Gemma joined us a couple of months ago as part of our support team, and from day one she impressed us with her compassion, patience, and caring nature. 💕

We were so inspired by Gemma that we asked her to take on a short-term 1:1 support role. She embraced the opportunity with dedication, kindness, and a consistently positive attitude. Thanks to her incredible commitment, her 1:1 child has made amazing progress and come on leaps and bounds. 🌈✨

Gemma, on behalf of the whole team, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the love and care you show every single day. We are so grateful to have you as part of our nursery family! ❤️👏

🎨✨ This week, our babies have been getting creative with taste-safe paints! 🌈💛

Our little ones loved exploring the different colours and textures using their fingers 👆, paintbrushes 🖌️, and even their mouths 👶 as they discovered the paint through sensory play! 🤩 Messy play like this helps to encourage curiosity 🌟, creativity 🎨, and supports early sensory development. 💕

If you'd like to recreate this activity at home 🏡, our taste-safe paint is simply made by mixing dairy-free yogurt 🥣 with food colouring 🌈. It's a fun, easy, and safe way to enjoy sensory play together! 💛✨

🐻 Meet Acorn! 🌰
The votes are in... and we’re delighted to introduce the newest member of the Thrive family – Acorn the Thrive Bear! 💚
A huge thank you to everyone in our community who took part in voting for our mascot’s name. Your favourite was Acorn, and we couldn’t be happier with the choice.
Not only is Acorn a wonderful name for our new bear, but it also perfectly reflects our love of the outdoors and our nature-inspired ethos here at Thrive. Just like an acorn grows into a mighty oak, we believe every child has the potential to grow, flourish and thrive.
Keep your eyes peeled because Acorn will soon be visiting a Thrive nursery near you, joining in with adventures, learning and lots of smiles along the way.

🌸🌼 Yesterday, our toddlers had a wonderful time exploring our flower playdough activity! 🌼🌸

We carefully observed the flowers in the middle of the table before using loose flower parts to create our own beautiful flower masterpieces. 🌺🌿 Each creation was unique and showed lots of imagination! 🎨✨

As we played, we introduced new vocabulary such as rose, petals, leaf, and stem 🌹🍃. We also used words like pretty, pink, and squishy to describe the playdough. 💗🤲

It was lovely to see the children beam with pride as they finished their amazing creations. We are so proud of all their hard work and creativity! 🥰👏
